Thanks to drewbeerme for this pour. Murky orange brown in my glass with no head. Aroma of toffee, oranges, fruit, and lots of aged notes. Oranges and apples a but funky with aged oaky notes. Bitter in the finish. This was probably quite good awhile ago so I’ll give it a benefit of the doubt point or two.

Thanks Drewbeerme for this treat. Red hazy color with small beige head. Aged malt, dough, alc, red apple and roasted aroma. Big alc, vegetable, old dough flavor, an all out big mess. Thin to medium body, a slight burn, no carb, a little syrupy. Great aroma but past its prime.

Bottle. Unclear dark amber colour with a little head. Great aroma of caramel, sweet malt and toffe-like. Very nice flavour of malt, hops, caramel and ends up bitter with a warm feeling from the alcohol.

#800. Bottle via trade, long ago and with whom has escaped my mind. tape labeled bomber. Shared with bikesandbeer as is appropriate as it is another 100 ratings under my belt, or over my belt depending on your persepctive. Pours Orange/amber/copper with a stable half finger thin tan head. Fantastic robust full bodied nose, lots of dried fruit, some molasses. Sweet and alcoholic, really pretty stellar. Very nice nose. Very very smooth taste, not sure how old this bottle is but its aged well, smooth hoppy barley wine, sticky, spicy with a nice malt backbone, a little throat burn, the kind I look for in barley wines. Pretty damn tasty BW, can’t complain, happy I chose this for 800 amongst other contenders.

Light hazy orange, amber colour with a small off white head. Malty, caramel sweet aroma with notes of wood and alcohol. Caramel sweet flavor with notes of anise. Light dry finish with a balanced note of wood and alcohol.

Handbottle from footbalm - Thanks!!! Nice muddy-amber brown with a small off-white head. Sweet aroma of caramel, candy corns, plum/peach/cantaloupe, light citra-pine hops. Flavor is sweet and malty with some caramel, burnt sugar, dark/summer fruits, piney-grass-citrus hops, and a bit of alcohol. Hop bitterness stings the tongue a bit and the mouthfeel is pretty nice overall. I tend to open handbottles quickly, as I’m worried they may not last - I might have given this one an extra year, but its pretty good as is. Hopefully I manage to land another bottle to age a bit longer.

Thanks to MikeTD through Boboski for this handbottle. Murky amber pour small white head. Aroma is berries, caramel and boozy. Flavor is sweet, caramel all the way, berries, apples, brown sugar and mollasses. Floral hops, perfumy aftertast. Touch of roasted malt resides but caramel sweetness is dominant.
