Commercial Description:
Dogwood Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale, well attenuated with fruity, estery overtones. A blending of three hop varieties in three separate additions provides a clean bitterness. Whole leaf Cascade hops are added directly into the fermentation tank called "dry-hopping" in order to achieve a floral aroma. It is naturally carbonated for a smooth finish.

Bottle shared at Butter’s Big Cellar Blowout. Courtesy of Springslicker. 2004 bottle. Hazy amber pour with ring of clearish head. Very sweet hop with some diacetyl. Pleasant malt backbone. Holds up even over time, pretty good.

Bottle at Butters Big Cellar Blowout. 2004 bottle. Pours an off-white head with a golden amber body. Smells of tea and honey. Taste is honey and hops that are old and mellow. Little spice heat on the finish. Makes me think of tea.

btl opened by Springslicker. 2 years old. Hazey orange pour with a white head and lace. Malt and light hops and caramel. Flavor of light malt and butter. A tad thin and foamy and cold:) adjusted up to 3.2 from a 3.1.

Thanks to SpringsLicker for the retired bottle! Poured hazy, deeper peach with a short, but well-retained cap of off-white head.. left some sticky lacing as it descended. The aroma picked up drier toffee and floral sweetness, definitely losing most of its hoppage over the years.. still enjoyable, having aged somewhat like Fuller Vintage Ales (malt-forward). The flavor had sweet, aged caramel and toffee, still with a bit of leafy and pine bitterness.. sweet malty finish. Roughly medium-bodied and a bit tacky at the back-end.. held up decently.

Cloudy orange with a white head. Pretty nice aroma and low malty flavor. Not too shabby.
