Commercial Description:
Dogwood Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale, well attenuated with fruity, estery overtones. A blending of three hop varieties in three separate additions provides a clean bitterness. Whole leaf Cascade hops are added directly into the fermentation tank called "dry-hopping" in order to achieve a floral aroma. It is naturally carbonated for a smooth finish.

Orange colored, semi-hazy body, off-white, thick head. Aroma is hoppy/malty. Flavor is dry , hoppy, with a light tasting palate.

Cloudy copper colored beer with a rapidly dissipating head. The aroma is similar to an ESB, restrained hops with some malt balance. Flavor follows aroma, though the balance is tilted in favor of the malt, which is nice and bready. Good beer.

EPA, #3 for night. Courtesy of Ross. He definitely knows what I like. Dogwood Summerbrew was very very good. I’m sure this won’t disappoint. I like the English Pale Ales and am eager to sample this one. Huge billoughy head out of bottle. Light Amber color. Smells of quality. Not as bitter as I expected. Smooth, very drinkable. Nice hop/malt presense. Not a typical southern Pale Ale. Very good. Not outstanding but very good. Ross you do one hell of a job selecting brews. Again very good brew. Dogwood lives up to its reputation.

Pours a filtered cloudy orange color with nice head that quickly turns to a thin, white sheet. Aroma is slightly fruity. Taste is a bit thin bodied with a little bit of yeast but more citrus than anything. Drinkable but wouldn’t drink it again if I didn’t have to. Re-rate 12/13/04. Nicer appearance that the last time I had this. Taste has malted out a bit and isn’t as sour/acidic as I remember. Actually, it’s quite balanced now. Not a bad beer at all.

Cloudy dark yellow with a bit of white head. Nice malty aroma. Has a nice refreshing flavor that hints of fruit. Also has some shit in the bottom so don't jossle the bottle too much.

Beer has a slight red appearance. Slight lacing. Taste is lacking due to a definte hoppy taste but not any other flavors. Overall impression isnt good due to it is bland for a pale ale.
