Commercial Description:
Dogwood Pale Ale is an English-style pale ale, well attenuated with fruity, estery overtones. A blending of three hop varieties in three separate additions provides a clean bitterness. Whole leaf Cascade hops are added directly into the fermentation tank called "dry-hopping" in order to achieve a floral aroma. It is naturally carbonated for a smooth finish.

Reddish Orange, small. wimpy head. No aroma to speak of. Nice woodsy hop start, mild citrus as well. Some grainy cereal and dryness in finish. On a side note, this is the best beer I've ever had in an the Atlanta Airport, so a big "Huzzah" to the Crown Room on the "B" concourse.

Not only this beer but all the Dogwood beers are over hopped and over carbonated. Maybe not overhopped just not hopped properly Very acetic and harsh. There is such a thing as bad head.

Amber in color with a mild Cascade hop nose. Body on thin side, hop flavor definitely lacking. Decent, but below par.

Light copper. Vigorous white head. Hops aroma. Fairly hoppy pale ale (almost an IPA). Hints of citrus.

Appearance is orange with little head to speak of. Aroma is nice with fruits and hops. Flavor is malty with a decent amount of hops and a slightly sour hint of fruit. My only real complaint is the palate. Its fairly watery. Overall a pretty good Pale Ale and kind of light so it makes for easy drinking. This is thier flagship beer but this brewery offers so much better than this.

Gusher, I hate when that happens. Once the head settles, it pours a cloudy copper color with an off-white head. The aroma is hoppy and strongly sour and fruity. Ugh...I got a bad bottle...the carbonation is way too high and the flavor is very sour and astringent. This one is undrinkable, but it was clearly a bad bottle. I'll rerate if i get it on tap or try a better bottle.

Your typical pale ale. I like this beer though another great addition from Dogwood.

The appearance isn’t much -- the head is sluggish and fast-fading. Body is just what you’d expect from a Pale Ale. the aroma is slightly citrusy hops. The flavor is nice, however. Toasty malt, caramel and a bit of chocolate that does more to mellow the character than to be a prominent aspect of the flavor. Surprisingly crips. Hops are subdued (despite being the biggest part of the aroma). There’s a slight tea-like aspect to the flavor. Great drinkability, good session beer.
