Commercial Description:
Dogwood Pilsner is what a real pilsner should taste like. We use only German malted barley, a German lager yeast and dry hop it with whole leaf Czech Saaz hops. We then condition, or lager, the beer for two months allowing the clean, crisp flavors to develop. This extended lagering is almost unheard of in todays bewing industry. We then allow the beer to naturally carbonate. It truly is a remarkable beer.

Yellow like a pilsner, but not at all what I expected...tasted much more like a pale ale...citrusy and hoppy. Pleasant suprise. Thanks, biermonk!

poured a nice clean orange color not what I was expecting from a Pilsner. Good clean easily drinkable beer. This is a true session beer. The hops are nicely placed but not overstated. An excellent rendition of the style IMHO.

Bottle at the brewery in Atlanta. A small sized off-white head that was smooth with fine-medium sized bubbles that mostly diminished. There was soft carbonation with this beer and it was transparent with a golden hue. The nose was malty and the flavor was a bit lightly bitter and it had some sour notes as well. The mouthfeel was bitter and sour and it was a light bodied beer. This beer had a good lacing to it.

TheDM and Hotstuff vacation brew 15. This bottled brew was enjoyed at the brewery in Atlanta Georgia. The owner Crawford Moran treated us to several six packs of their brews as well as a freshly tapped bottle of their Dubbel. This brew poured a small head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a good lace and a transparent yellow-orange colored softly carbonated body. The mouthfeel was smooth and tingly with a smooth start and a hop finish. It had a medium hop flavor with a slightly acidic note to it.

Pours a nice golden yellow color with a foamy white head. Has a nice hoppy aroma with a full body. A nice pilsner I wish I could get regularly.

12 oz bottle, goblet, 48 degrees. Deep yellow body, with a hint of orange has a foamy, white head which mostly fades away quickly but ends up leaving some decent lacing. Big spicey, flowery saaz boquet; light bread and grain malt. A mouth full of spicey hops is backed by efficient malts. Lightly sweet, moderately bitter flavor quickly shits to a heavily bitter finish that lasts quite well. Light-medium body is watery with a late drying effect and lively carbonation. The bottom line is: this is a solid, tasty, clean, and refreshing pils; another winner from Dogwood.

A orange gold color , darker than most American Pils, with a small white head. Sazz aroma, light warm bread. Nice hop taste for a pils. A definite buy for the southeast.
