Commercial Description:
Dogwood Summer Brew is a Belgian-style white beer with 2-row barley, both malted and unmalted wheat, and a touch of oats. Dried orange peel and coriander are added for a unique, subtle complexity. The Belgian yeast provides a smooth roundness to the beer while giving off subtle hints of peach and apricot flavors. It is naturally carbonated it and unfiltered.

On draft @ Marietta Pizza Co. This is quite a nice summer brew. It is not true to style if this is the correct listing for this beer. A mixture of styles if you will, it has some qualities of an american wheat, a blanche and perhaps a belgian golden. Tangy and fruity, and very smooth. A real thirst quencher on a hot day.

Had on tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Chattanooga. Light golden color, cloudy, decent sized white head. Fresh fruity aroma, , thick mouth-coating mouthfeel. Fresh, citrusy flavor -all in all refreshing.

Was the goal of creating this beer to make a delicious "Summer Brew", as the title suggests? If so - This is a grand success. Was the goal to make "A Belgian Style White Beer". If so - This is a mild failure. The color is of a Golden Belgian Ale, with the clarity of a witbier. The aroma has the grassy, lemon elements of a Belgian White. The flavor is a hybrid between a trippel (smoothness, pepper) and the witbier (tartness, lemon). it finishes with a long lasting tang. On its merits as a "Summer Brew" this is an excellent beer. Try for yourself.

Somewhat cloudy orange pour, with a fluffy white head. Citrus and spice aroma. Taste is somewhat "light". Lots of wheat, some orange, yeast, peach and light hopping. Extremely smooth and quaffable. I think I would actually prefer this over a hoegaarden, even though hoegaarden is a much better example of a belgian white. Wow... dogwood nailed this one. A great seasonal... this will definitely be in my rotation.

Cloudy orange appearance with a moderate head. Aroma is a citrus fruit basket. Flavor is tangy with some oranges, pears, peaches, banana, and lemons in there. The aftertaste has a little spice kick. This is the first witbier I've been blown away by. Id pick this up over Hoegaarden anyday. Go Dogwood!

I don't care much for summer brews. I suppose this brew is refreshing, but that's what gatorade is for.

Makes for a good summer beer. Light, citrusy, and hoppy with a wheat taste. Color a little dark for the style.
