Pours out a nice orange color with a nice white head. Aroma is very yeasty with some spicy notes to it. Flavor was very much the same with a bit of sweetness to it. Unfortunately, this beer had alot of oxidation in the flavor as well. This brew was certainly past its prime.

This very rare beer was shared with me by ross. Pours out a darker burnt orange with a surprisingly big white head for its age. This beer is very much past its prime with some heavy sweetness comming in. Tasted slightly spicy to me. Not a bad beer by any means and it was a great experience due to the rarity and age.

Bottle from TBC2. Thanks Matt. Pours out a brownish color with a fairly thick white head. Smell is heavy on oxidation and not really much left. The taste is sweet and very similar to sherry, with no notes of what used to be a probably pretty decent beer. Very rare, but probably not made for aging. Thank you Matt for sending me a sample of this really hard to come by beer by what used to be a very good brewery.

Aroma suggests an English Old Ale more than a Belgian strong: raisins, plums, dates, caramel and muted spices. Opaque, muddy, tan coloured body topped by a low white head that recedes rapidly to a partial cover. Fruitiness noted in the aroma is present also in the somewhat sherry-like flavour with some salty, mineral notes and fairly apparent alcohol. Very dry medium body with fair though short-lived carbonation. Bottle sampled with beerbuzzmontreal, cathschlag, MartinT, Rastacouere, Olivier_MTL, Siroy and Yowie.

Cloudy orange pour with a ring of white lace. Aroma of fruit jam, caramel and yeast. Flavor of fruit jam, caramel and yeast with a sweet finish. The body is medium with an oily texture and low carbonation.

A fully diminishing average rocky off-white head tops up a murky medium orange body. Moderate lacing. Many thin particles. Few medium bubbles. Aroma presents malt being moderate caramel / nutty while hops are very faint herbs ... Yeast character is moderate fruitiness. Also, there are faint evocations of smoke Rye grains are present. Initial flavor is medium sweet (with a slight salty tone) while development shows off fruity alcool overtones. Finish is short and alcoholic. medium body... oily texture... Lively carbonation... aging is evident.

Murky earthy golden pour, the light soapy off-white head fades slowly. Rather spicy nose is explosive with its coherent spice blend, no individual spices dominate, but the melting pot is a bit too much, ultimately taking more room than basic ingredients. Rye, coriander, ginger are all noticeable. Otherwise, it feels rather juicy, the carbonation is fading rapidly in mouth where the medium body does a job that much have been better in the past. Slight oiliness, lots of pineapple, orange, almost torpical flavours. Spicy, wheaty, bready playing on those nuances constantly to finish up leaving a decent complexity impression. A sweet and original Belgian take that may have been a treat a few years ago.
