The taste is malty with a good hit of wood. Quite dry, yet a tad sour. Strangely good. footbalm (1218), Salt Lake City, Utah, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Deep, golden body with a slight haze. Frothy white head with nice legs. Big honey notes in the nose and flavor. Lightly fruity as well. Nice, mature beer with a woody middle and long, sweet finish. Mouthfeel is like warm syrup. I’m glad to have had the opportunity to try this unique beer at a ridiculously late hour during the RateBeer tasting at GABF 2004.

This was a great brew. pours a cloudy light apricot hue with minimal white head around the glass edge. Fantastic aroma of banana, clove, apricots, ginger and corriander. Just and awesome aroma. great flavors up fromt of corriander, clove, belgian candy sugar, banana but the middle was somewhat cardboardy, especially cold. As it warmed, this became less apparent. Nice mouthfeal-spritzy and lively. Definatlye one people should go seek out! unclebleen (620), California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 20, 2004 Pours an orange color that’s cloudy with a small head that laces adequately. Aroma is very alcoholic and sweet like candy, pixi-sticks and sour apple fundip. Also some spicy/earthy aromas in there as well. Flavor is not as sweet as the aroma let on. Still sweet but is nicely balanced by a slight bitterness. Body is medium and finished quickly. DaSilky1 (2001), San Diego, California, USA

Not a bad brew. Meidum to full bodied and smooth.
