Going through my notes, I just realized the ’01 & 02 were different beers (good thing I jotted some notes on both!). Poured a dark amber color with a averaged sized head. Aromas and tastes of bananas, light yeast, and sweet malts. Another one that aged OK although I prefered the ’01 better.

Thick cloudy golden color with an average size head. Good citrus and banana yeast aroma. The wheat provides a good balance in the sweet, robust, well-rounded body. Shows good adherence to style. Thanks to aracauna.

Poured a clear light copper color. Aroma of golden raisins and plums. Sweet and fruity flavor with some more plum and a light citrus fruitness. Medium body.

Bottle at Heavyweight... Poured a prunish red color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of plums, cloves, yeast and alcohol. Taste of dried fruit, roast, bananas and alcohol as well.

Weizenbock? I always thought this one was an abbey dubbel. Either way it was pretty good. Deep amber/brown slightly cloudy/hazy with a fading head. Aroma is estery with banana, plum, raisin and caramel malts. Flavor is slightly sweet, yeasty, and fruity with an ok finish.

Similar to the ’01, this was a bit bolder. Fuller in spices and maltier. Still not a fan of Dogwood Winter though.

The color on the pour is that of butterscotch candy, the head cyclopean in size, with a whipped cream texture. Color Very light tan with Humongus sticky sheets of lace that adhere to the glass. Aroma of malt, with light floral and sweet ripe orange tones also present in this quite sniffable beer. Sweet at the front, the top thick and chewy, the finish is pleasingly hopped, modestly carbonated, dry aftertaste. Dogwood and Sweetwater make some top notch beers, and it’s well worth the time and effort to acquire some. I got mine courtesy of Aracauna, so this old saying goes to him for being so gracious. “I hope you never see the bottom of and empty glass”.
