Amazing how many types of beer can call themselves a "winter ale" or "christmas ale". Cloudy hefe-like hue. Breadish aroma. Wheaty, cloves, attractively dry taste. Satisfying, clean finish, rather nice.

My favorite of all the winter ale series. One of my favorite beers of all time.

This is a weird one. It calls itself a weizenbock but it’s a dark cloudy golden. I was expecting something like Aventinus, but it’s not. A little research on styles says this is acceptable, however. The aroma has the estery bubble gum and cloves you’d expect from the weizen bock and the more prominent heavy malt, but also contains a distinct belgian yeast spiciness that really will give you trouble if you’re thinking German Weizenbock. A little clearing of the mind and you realize this is a pretty good attempt at a Belgian strong ale in the vein of Orval, but I wonder if this really belongs in the weizenbock style like the brewers claim.

very hazy light copper color with a thin, but lasting, white head. aroma is very strong of banana and bubblegum, also a hint of sourness. flavor is banana mainly with just a slight hint of alcohol in the finish...not sure what the ABV of this one is though. very tasty...thanks aracauna!

Thick cloudy golden color with an average size head. Good citrus and banana yeast aroma. The wheat provides a good balance in the sweet, robust, well-rounded body. Shows good adherence to style. Thanks to aracauna.

Cloudy in that wheaty way; head was medium and dense; nose was tart and yeasty. Yeasty and wheaty to start. Slightly sweet. Slightly tart. Good dark bite in the middle. Very round in body.

Smelled like a wit...the wheat really came out in the taste too...like a "hard" hefe this beer was, lots of clove and spice. Not bad, it also had a spicy, peppery zip in the finish.
