Pours deep cloudy wood brown with thin tan head. Intriguing aroma of christmas spicy cinnamon, sweet insence, cocoa. Flavor of light pine, cocoa, cinnamon. Totally christmas, but a bit thinner on flavor and palate than it could have been.

Thanks to hopdog for this... Appears a dark brown with a tan head. Smell is of chocolate mint with pine coming through. Taste is like the thin mint cookies that have been watered down. Mouthfeel is smooth and watery.

Bottle acquired in trade with kp (thanks!). Poured a deep amber color with a small sized off white head. Talk about a nice spicy aroma (I wonder how much more spicier it would have been fresh). Aromas of spices, peppermint, Christmas (not sure how else to explain, but the smell just reminded of Christmas), and chocolate. Tastes were on the watered down side and consisted primarily of lighter pine and light chocolate. Thinner body.

Thanks to Hopdog for this fairly aged treat. Pours a hazy brown with a small off white head. Aroma of minced meat pie, catholic insense, christmas spice candles, ginger, mint and chocolate...very spicy. Taste is a good bit different, actually way different. A little bit of pine and some dark chocolate.

Well after aging for 2 years this is drinkable. I poured out at least 4 bottles when it first came out. The spices have greatly settled down. Still real big in the clove and nutmeg aroma and flavor, but now somewhat tasty and easier to swallow. Also had a regular version on this night (2 of them were opened) and they foamed all over and made a huge mess. The spice didn’t do it.

Pour was a very cloudy brownish. Aroma is quite spicy, dark fruits, chocolate, gingery. Mouthfeel is sllightly harsh, but leaves a pleasent winter like flavor. Too bad this brewery went under, it was pretty rock solid with the few experiences I’ve had with it.

Bottle: Courtesy of kp via trade. Aroma is loaded with spice. Mostly clove with a hint of cinnamon. Pours a cloudy brown with a small off-white head. Flavor is all clove with some light malt. I like spice in beer, but too clove dominated.

hazy deep red colouraroma of cocoa, raisins, tootsie roll, yeast, fruitcake and lots of spices. cinnamon clove and nutmeg dominate the flavour with the nice bits in the aroma only peeking through. reminds me of osa 2001, a little unbalaced and heavy on the spice. not bad though
