Commercial Description:
BrewMaster’s Series #1 - The BrewMaster’s Series is a limited edition series where each beer is crafted by one of our brewers. Every batch in the series is unique and reflects the brewer’s imagination, creativity, and passion for beer. Enjoy. Youngblood’s Imperial Porter is brewed with a wide variety of malted barley and has a rounded chocolate character from the roasted grains. I wanted to explore using many different malts. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Thanks to BeerCellar2 for this one. Very dark with dark tan head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, smoky malts; very nice. Flavor replicates the aromas and is slightly sweet.

Thick black pour and opaque as I like it, with a minimal deep tan head. Dark chocolate fudge and espresso leap out for the aroma, with unsweetened cocoa powder, black currant, screeching tires and burnt timber wafting upwards as well. Tiniest element of sulfur, but otherwise, it’s a damn good nose. Flavor is more scaled back than expected. A dry, creamy composure takes refuge. Dark chocolate milk and mocha mix provide the deeper elements. Very espresso laden, like a room temperature double left on the counter for a night. Sugarless, unrefined cocoa powder. Coffee grinds slightly bitter the beer and we’re thankfully free from lactic and/or souring aspects. Delicate double dosage of ensconcing, oily liquidity on the palate. Hops have likely subsided a tad over time. Finish is laden with unsweetened iced mocha tendencies. Thanks for the bomber, CaptainCougar!

Indy gathering 2005 from BBB63. This poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized mostly lasting dark brown colored bubbles that left behind an unnoted lacing. The body contained no visible carbonation, was opaque and black in color. Its aroma contained notes of roasted malts dark malt . Its mouth feel is initially smooth with a lingering palate and a hoppy aftertaste. Its flavor contained smooth dark brown malt roasted malt notes and was very tasty. An excellent beer that I would buy again. Thanks Mike!

Thick black pour with no head. Sweet burnt aroma with some cocoa and licorice. Acrid burnt flavor is held up by some caramel sweetness. Slick smooth palate. Low bitterness and a long oily finish. Nice. Big ups to TheBeerCellar2 for the bottle.

(Bottle courtesy ’BBB63’ Indy tasting 12/10/05) Aroma is strong coffee, cream, with roasted malts and dark chocolate. Pours solid black with little head. Flavor is intense roasted chocolate malt and the last few swallows of a mocha. Palate is smooth and creamy. A very nice porter.
