Commercial Description:
BrewMaster’s Series #1 - The BrewMaster’s Series is a limited edition series where each beer is crafted by one of our brewers. Every batch in the series is unique and reflects the brewer’s imagination, creativity, and passion for beer. Enjoy. Youngblood’s Imperial Porter is brewed with a wide variety of malted barley and has a rounded chocolate character from the roasted grains. I wanted to explore using many different malts. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Thanks to the Atlanta Crew for sharing this one. Dark black color. Small Sized white foamy head. Aroma is roasted malts, semi-sweet chocolate and some fruitiness. Medium bodied Baltic Porter. Malts are roasty, semi-sweet chocolate and vanilla. Very smooth. Nicely balanced. Excellent beer. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Black color with no head. Slight malt and coffee aroma. Taste is very much what I would expect from a Baltic porter: coffee aged in oak with the inevitable trace of vanilla. Slightly salty on the finish. Damn fine.

Next to no head. Chcoloately aroma. Dark brown almost black color. Chocolate, coffee and caramel taste. Exceptional! I was saddened to learn this beer would soon be no more.

Huge thanks to SpringSlicker for the bottle left over from the RBSG!

Pitch black, with a ring of dark cocoa head.
Freshly baked bread aromas, mixed with a bowl of steaming hot oatmeal, mocha, BBQ sauce and olive oil, very impressive stuff.
Chipotle smoky and well controlled coffee flavors (not too burnt and stale, not too weak and watery), body and carbonation are restrained and pleasing. Can’t say anything bad about this one, I had no expectations about it and was pleasantly surprised, so were my buddies who shared it with me.

Thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for this beer.

Poured thick and black with a small brown head. Thick sweet roasted coffee aroma. Taste is like biting into fresh roasted coffee beans without a whole lot of overwhelming bitterness in the finish. Clean, easy-drinking, and excellent. Way unfortunate that the brewery is out of business, as the thought that this stuff will someday be completely gone is depressing.

22 oz. bottle - this one courtesy of Eyedrinkale, with many thanks. Pours thick and black like a full bodied tamari sauce, with the pour giving rise to a moderate sized milk chocolate colored head that diminished mostly leaving a bit of lacing. Aroma is interesting with a mix of sweet and herby notes, chocolate, molasses, milk, fig, pollen rich flowers and a hint of sweat. Flavor is complex - lots of roasty malts, dark dried fruits, bitter chocolate, dandelion milk, floral notes, coffee and a bit of charcoal. Thick, full body, smooth mouthfeel with creamy carbonation. The flavors and aromas change as it warms, but is best around 55 - 60 degrees. I’m glad that I have another bottle of this waiting in my cellar thanks to slob!

Thanks to TheBeerCellar2 for this beer. Aroma is big time chocolate and fruits, one of the best aromas of any beer I’ve had. Pored oily and dark as hell. Taste is sweet, earthy, a bit herbal, and has a nice bitter coffee finish. Mouthfeel I think is played very well, not thick like an imperial stout, but not watery by any means. I must admit I was not so much impressed by the flavor as I was by the kickass aroma. However, I thank Matt dearly for letting me try this.
