Commercial Description:
BrewMaster’s Series #1 - The BrewMaster’s Series is a limited edition series where each beer is crafted by one of our brewers. Every batch in the series is unique and reflects the brewer’s imagination, creativity, and passion for beer. Enjoy. Youngblood’s Imperial Porter is brewed with a wide variety of malted barley and has a rounded chocolate character from the roasted grains. I wanted to explore using many different malts. It’s not for the faint of heart.

[bottle - 22 oz] Pours a dark, dark black with a very dark brown head. Very creamy looking. The aroma is mainly coffee with some roasted malts and a touch of chocolate. The taste is delicious. It begins with a roasty chocolate and coffee taste with a sweet malty middle and a nice slightly bitter coffee finish. I only had one bottle of this, and now I want another. It was possibly the best porter I have ever had.

Thanks to MRomero548 for this brew. It pours an incredible black color wtih a finger of tan head that falls to a slight coating over the beer. The aroma is incredible, with a big chocolate blast, followed by powerful fig, and a slight coffee playing in the background. Damn nice. The flavor is more chocolate on the start, moving to a very nice sweet coffee and cream on the finish. Only a slight bitter comes through with the finish. Between the chocolate and coffee, there is just a hint of the fig. This beer is divine. The palate is nice and thick, almost syrupy. OVerall, this is an excellent beer. And to think, I got this for letting a fellow use my phone. That encounter led me to signing up for Ratebeer. Thanks again for this brew MRomero548. I’ll be buying your first beer when you are back in the area.

Chocolatey creamy C-A-R-A-M-E_L_O-Moan now tasty through da nose! Appearence is beautiful. Flavor is racist dark chocolate, malto-o-meal, but I sense a mighty alcohol percentage! I love you dogwood! Magnificent!!! Das Is Gut!

Very dark brown/black pour, Soapy brown head that fades to nothing. Where’s the pancakes? It smells like roasted porter syrup. Some dry milk chocolate and some fruity notes as well. Some roasted hops in taste, along with some roasted chocolate malt and some lactic acid. It has a big and bold porter flavor that to me approaches an imperial stout (maybe a foreign stout) that is very yummy, but not incredibly complex.

Pours pitch black with a small brown head. Roasted and fruity aroma with citrus notes and some alcohol. Roasted flavor with coffee notes and some tart fruit. Sharp and rather unbalanced, but still tasty.

Form a 22oz bomber, "Brewmaster’s Series #1" Pours like motor oil. Deep opague brown with a quarter inch chocolate brown head. Aroma is smoky and bitter chocolate. Also creamy. Taste matched the smell. Bitter rich chocolate and smoky. All this is balanced with a creaminess and sweetness you might associate with a milk stout. Big and bold. Roasted coffee underpinnings. Smokines lingers on the tongue. Extremely full bodied and tasty. Very drinkable for such a robust, flavorful beer. A great job from a a brewery that had yet to impress me up till now. Hopefully all of their "big beer" series will be as good as this one.

Dark blackish brown body, thick creamy brown head formation. Heavily roasted malt, coffee aroma, white wine fruitiness. Sweet, mildly fruity flavor, roastiness saltiness that leads to a long dryish finish. Alcohol is well hidden.

Thanks to Springslicker for the bottle. Opaque black with a modest tan head. Sherry and old fruit aromatic, with a tinge of roastiness. Old fruit flavored nose, then becomes malty sweet backed with an earthy roastiness. Finish is slightly alcoholic. Mouthfeel is full, but fairly dry.
