Commercial Description:
BrewMaster’s Series #1 - The BrewMaster’s Series is a limited edition series where each beer is crafted by one of our brewers. Every batch in the series is unique and reflects the brewer’s imagination, creativity, and passion for beer. Enjoy. Youngblood’s Imperial Porter is brewed with a wide variety of malted barley and has a rounded chocolate character from the roasted grains. I wanted to explore using many different malts. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Great looking pour with a frothy light brown head and a dark color. THe body is medium, with flavors of chocolate & malt. Smooth, sweet, with a warming afterword.

Dark with little head. Lots of chocolate, coffee, and some licorice in the flavor. Pretty darn good beer. We miss ya, Dogwood!

Thanks to Jay for several bottles. Jay rocks. This beer poured pitch black with zero head. Full, rich aroma of roasted malt. Full bodied mouthfeel. Slightly oily. Roasted malt dominates with a bit of smoke. Chocolate and coffee abound. A very nice beer. Come back Dogwood.

Oily black color, tan head, oily lacing. Sweet sharp roast, fig cake, licorice root, ripe cherries & vanilla beans, coffee beans. Tastes strong of dark roast & british hops. Nice coffeeish & chocolate thing going on here. Almost more stoutish than porter but considering the imperialness it doesn’t surprise me. Nice soy sauce flavor as the drink bottoms. Thanks Jay!

First of all, thank you beercellar 2 for this brew, even though he doesn’t rate, which is horrible,, he still hooks it up. Pours a Deep opaque brown/black as an imperial stout would, with a halo of a tan head. Aromas of whiskey, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, soy sauce......wait....is this the speedway????? no.. I am not sure...Mouth feel is medium bodied with flavors that rival the best imperial stouts. Chocolate, coffee, yet smooth with very little bitterness. This is almost like drinking the best mocha you have ever had. Damn this smooth. I am not sure how much this bottle has aged, but this is one of the best in a style that keeps getting better.

nice solid chocolate/coffee beer, Very smooth beer, I think I could even taste some carmel in there, they should’ve made this a main stay instead of a limited issue, maybe would’ve helped their business health

2004 served in a Pint Glass 55f Pours dark almost black with a small ¼” rich brown head that fades rather quickly Espresso, chocolate, roast malt, subtle hops (floral) they are all there. Medium mouth feel finishes dry and mildly bitter. Very tasty. I hope Dogwood will rise again.A thanks goes to Jacob for the trade.

Purs a very dark black color with a dark brown brown ring around the top of the glass.Had a small head. The smell was awesome, sweet chocolate and malt. Mild-sweet taste that resembles coffee.Malts, light bitterness and chocolate in the finish.Very silky smooth mouthfeel that leaves a nice oily feel in the mouth. This is probably the best beer I have tasted. I hope Dogwood can make a comeback.
