Full, rich aroma of roasted malt. Full bodied mouthfeel. Slightly oily. Roasted malt dominates with a bit of smoke. Chocolate and coffee abound. A very nice beer. Come back Dogwood. Sweet sharp roast, fig cake, licorice root, ripe cherries & vanilla beans, coffee beans. Tastes strong of dark roast & british hops. Nice coffeeish & chocolate thing going on here. Almost more stoutish than porter but considering the imperialness it doesn’t surprise me. Nice soy sauce flavor as the drink bottoms. Thanks Jay! Sickboy282 (1098), San Diego, California, USA

Pours a Deep opaque brown/black as an imperial stout would, with a halo of a tan head. Aromas of whiskey, chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, soy sauce......wait....is this the speedway????? no.. I am not sure...Mouth feel is medium bodied with flavors that rival the best imperial stouts. Chocolate, coffee, yet smooth with very little bitterness. This is almost like drinking the best mocha you have ever had. Damn this smooth. I am not sure how much this bottle has aged, but this is one of the best in a style that keeps getting better. Pours dark almost black with a small ¼” rich brown head that fades rather quickly
Espresso, chocolate, roast malt, subtle hops (floral) they are all there. Medium mouth feel finishes dry and mildly bitter. Very tasty. I hope Dogwood will rise again.A thanks goes to Jacob for the trade.

The smell was awesome, sweet chocolate and malt.
Mild-sweet taste that resembles coffee.Malts, light bitterness and chocolate in the finish.Very silky smooth mouthfeel that leaves a nice oily feel in the mouth. This is probably the best beer I have tasted. I hope Dogwood can make a comeback.
