Commercial Description:
BrewMaster’s Series #1 - The BrewMaster’s Series is a limited edition series where each beer is crafted by one of our brewers. Every batch in the series is unique and reflects the brewer’s imagination, creativity, and passion for beer. Enjoy. Youngblood’s Imperial Porter is brewed with a wide variety of malted barley and has a rounded chocolate character from the roasted grains. I wanted to explore using many different malts. It’s not for the faint of heart.

22 oz bottle thanks to toncatcher from a recent trade. Also sampled at the PP SAF. NIce black pour with more head than I had expected after so long. Rich dark fruit, chocolate and some mocha aromas. Similar flavors with a nice dusty finish. Good Porter

Bottle from . Thanks! I wish I remember the entire story behind this beer. Something about the brewery closing 4 yrs ago, and a few bottles being sold in the store at that time. 4yr old bottle. Seems super rare, and I feel very fortunate to taste it. Pours a thick syrupy and pitch black. No head. Smells fantastic. I love the smell of this beer. Chocolatey and malty. Flavor is very mild, probably from the long aging mellowing things out. The tiniest of stinging on the tongue. Maybe the tinest of acetic acid, or maybe just the alcohol. A little dry. Not roasty (I like not roasty). Very nice and easy to drink. A real treat. 9,3,8,4,17:4.1 Rerate at Ale Atlanta: 7,3,7,3,14:3.4, 2004 bottle on jan 9, 2009.

A rich mocha ring. Mocha, smoke, coffee, and soy notes. Awesome. Thank you Dogwood.

Pre SAF 07 in Goldtwins Room at the Extended Stay. Pour black with a tan ring. Nos is smoky and full of roasty character. Overall nice, sweet, robust and full of malty chocolately goodness.

22 oz bottle. Inky brown with an umber ring. Grassy chocolate, sour coffee and a touch of soy. Watery dark chocolate with light molasses and cocoa powder. Light carb, body falls short. I think this bottle is at least several years old. Probably better fresher. A bit lifeless now but not bad.

Pours oily black with a brown head that struggles to ride up. A quarter inch at best of foam, followed by a quick recede, and no lace. The body is perfectly opaque. Aromatics are filled with dark chocolate, Kahlua, and roasted coffee beans. The mouthfeel is silky, oily, and smooth. Quite sticky and chewy, without being overbearing. Good to style. The pallet is heavy with chocolate and rum-infused espresso. Alcohol is warming and evident, but no heat and zero oxidation. Finishes with lingering bakers chocolate laced with kahlua-spiked kona roast. A world-class Baltic porter..Too bad the brewery tanked.

bottle at "An Evening w/ Pantanap #1" (how clever!).....appearance: dark brown, almost black with little to no head (just wavy remnants on top of the liquid)....aroma: rich chocolate, roasted malt eventually came through in the nose.....taste: first thing noticed was that the body was watery thin. more roasted chocolate notes, light coffee accents and very little carbonation. this one is def. past its prime but i’m glad to have been able to try it and share it with others.

22oz bomber sampled at "An Evening with Pantanap #1": thanks to kan for another rare beer, I’ve wanted to try for so long. Thick black with a a brown wispy ring on top. The first aroma note is oxidation, but the complexities come out. Chocolate, fruit, caramelized, port, and alcohol . Thin body but no less complex in flavvor. Dark chocolate, bourbon, darkfruit, plums, burnt malts, and tobacco. Dark bitter chocolate and roasted malts in the finish. This is definitely past its peak, but it is still complex and tasty. I’ll give it an extra point on the overall for what I know it was. I enjoyed this quite a bit.
