Honey yellow, very quiet. Pleasant aroma of sweet licored apple juice. Good taste of appel sweetnes, a little tart zestines, pleasant sensation of alcohol. Very nice, but not to drink all alone! fredthecat (204), Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 26, 2008 smells acidic and like wood, it is a light gold in colour. it tastes lightly of dry honey and some apples and is very smooth. it is soft and not cloying on the throat at all. it has a warming and gently pleasing effect like wine and is worth getting as a treat to try a good cider for a fairly affordable price. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Thank you Martin and may you and Marie enjoy many more wonderful years together... Cedar trees grow around the horse barn in the shade of a woody old apple tree as the monk takes a glass and watches the butterflies... Ok, that was my weak attempt at a vintage MartinT rating... Strong horseblanket and barnyard aromas compete with cedar and oak in the aroma (perhaps slightly corked) with plenty of alcohol that is somewhat sharp but not out of place. Clear deep golden coloured body leaves pleasant traces down the sides of the glass. Sweet apples with a hint of cinammon and brown sugar are up front leading to a more tart aplle character and a nice little jolt of alcohol in the woody, leafy flavour that is a bit less funky than the aroma suggests but by no means is that a drawback. The alcohol is a bit overpresent and brandy-like. Moderate alcohol warming and pleasant viscosity. The monk is dreaming of onion confit... GonZoBeeR (2163), ste-Eulalie, Quebec, Canada

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 3, 2005 Alcohol is added to this one, but only a little, so it is still more of a mistelle than a strong cider...Smooth, nearly luxurious apple sweetness benefits from a sparkle of wilderness, which is appreciated and frankly surprising...A little alcohol warming is welcomed, along with an apt balance of sweetness and underlying tartness...An interesting creation which was my favorite at Domaine Steinbach that day, that is, if you don’t count their onion confit with black currants and maple syrup...
