Jul 25, 2009 Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of sweet malt, earthy, some tea. Tastes sweet and peppery with an earthy finish.

Jul 14, 2009 Tap at the Dulles location. Pours a very dark copper with a creamy/frothy near white head. Aroma seems dusty. Near medium body with smooth, bubbly carbonation. Not really all that bitter, but definitely tasty. Theres enough hop tobalance the light roast malt. It truly brings to mind AB American Ale. Finishes lightly fruity. Better than many.

Jun 30, 2009 Bottle in Virginia. This beer would be a nice "intro to craft beer" serving. Some nice malt permeates both aroma and flavor. Some sour hop notes added an interesting bitterness. Throw in just a bit of citrus. Very light drinking.

Jun 13, 2009 Bottle. Caramel-sweet maltiness counterbalanced by a sharp hoppy twang. Comparable to Sam Adams. Not bad.
