JediMindTricks (239), Hampton, Virginia, USA Aug 19, 2009 another nice pale ale from old dominion brewing co. not as hoppy as most american micro brews (surprise), but still very hoppy and tasty. trevandjenn (20), Fredericksburg, Virginia, USA Aug 15, 2009 A smooth experience overall, but it doesn’t stand out. It’s somewhat bland, although non-offensive. unclemattie (2370), Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2009 12oz bottle @ 1st Annual RocketCity Brewfest, Huntsville, AL.
Clear golden. Aroma of egg salad. Flavor is musty munich malts. Blah. Don’t like it.
08 may 09 Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Jul 25, 2009 Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of sweet malt, earthy, some tea. Tastes sweet and peppery with an earthy finish. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Jul 14, 2009 Tap at the Dulles location. Pours a very dark copper with a creamy/frothy near white head. Aroma seems dusty. Near medium body with smooth, bubbly carbonation. Not really all that bitter, but definitely tasty. Theres enough hop tobalance the light roast malt. It truly brings to mind AB American Ale. Finishes lightly fruity. Better than many. ben4321 (953), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 2, 2009 Overall Impression:
A nice tasty ale with a decent balance between the hops and the malts, leaning toward the malty side. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Jun 30, 2009 Bottle in Virginia. This beer would be a nice "intro to craft beer" serving. Some nice malt permeates both aroma and flavor. Some sour hop notes added an interesting bitterness. Throw in just a bit of citrus. Very light drinking. ScottB (73), Bristow, Virginia, USA Jun 13, 2009 Bottle. Caramel-sweet maltiness counterbalanced by a sharp hoppy twang. Comparable to Sam Adams. Not bad.
