Commercial Description:
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

12oz bottle (thanks to Ty5592) poured a clear amber color with no head. Aromas of mostly sweet caramel malt. The taste didn’t have much of a hop flavor, but a nice malt taste.

on tap at new place, "The Comet" on Conn Ave just up the street from the infamous Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. this will be on tap for some time there (not that there is much of a tap selection but its all good and will be rotating basis with quick turnover). Anyhow, this beer is as close to the color of carrots under glass as any beer I’ve ever seen. a considerable weak-frothy white head that leaves some specks and rings of lacing. smells of sweet and doughy malts as well as some hops. not as strong an aroma as I would have hoped for. tastes of sweet malts and bread as expected from the aroma but finishes more bitter with lots of different kinds of hops, definetely grassy, caramel, fruit/citrus and nuts. quite complex combination of flavors. this beer falls short in some categories but certainly not in taste. worth a try.

Bottle. Caramel and sweet fruity malt scent, slightly flowery. Amber pour with a foamy tan head. Tastes as above, and the light caramel/toast sweetness is very nice, though the flavor isn’t very robust. Watery thin body. Clean and fresh. Decent-to-good Amber. Best of the seven Dominion brews samples this night (NY Eve ‘06).

Pours a clear copper huew with a frothy white head. Poor lacing. Aromas of grass, caramel, and saaz hops. Medium bodied with a light hop bitterness. Flavors of caramel, honey, with a lingering finish.

On tap at the brewpub, RBSG 2006. A light amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet with light notes of caramel, while the flavor is sweet malty with notes of toffee and light notes of aroma hops, before a dry end sets in with a mixture of fruit, caramel, and hop notes, that last for a long time.

12 oz. bottle via trade with Ty5592 - Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off white head that faded quickly. Faint spotty lacing. Has a light hop and caramel, bready malt aroma. Flavor is much of the same. Light to medium body. Not bad. Worth a try. Thanks Ty.

Tasted with thegreenrooster, vyvvy and beerdrenched. 120z bottle. Filtered and amber. Swirling off-white head. Buttery bready popcorn. But apparently fresh? Light bodied with a caramel bready bitter flavor. Not too good. Yeah, not too good at all!

Bottle. Orange pour with late forming white head. Interesting kinda smoked kinda burnt hops aroma to it? Not sure, Ive never burnt hops. Same thing in the flavor, kinda floral. Not too smooth, maybe a bit too carbonated. Overall, pretty disappointed.
