Commercial Description:
Dominion Ale is brewed in an English style with American Two-Row Pale, Caramel, and Black malts. We use Perle, Willamette, and Mount Hood hops from the Pacific Northwest and English Kent Golding Hops. We ferment our ale with a traditional American yeast in the German Kolsch style - warm, fast fermentation followed by a slow maturation. Dominion Ale is malty with an assertive hop character dominated by the Kent Golding. It is crystal clear amber colored with medium body. Widely available in bottles and on draft, often as a house brand name.

Thanks for the bottle Immy! Deep orange/brown pour with a thin off white head. Some minute lacing. Caramel malt and brown sugar in the nose, with a mild hop character. Slight hop bite and pine in the mouth. Sweet bread sugars with a hint of sour grapes in the finish. Watery finish. Not a fan of the Kent Golding. A little weak for my tastes, but glad I got to try it. Thanks again Immy!

Pours with an amber body topped by a thin to medium thick head with little lacing. It’s sweet and malty with a very slight caramel note and atouch of piney hops. Meidum bodied and smooth.

12 oz bottle. Amber pour with a thin head. Weak hop and malt nose. Almost no carbonation. Flavor is, well, blah. Watery hops and malt. Overall, just weak. Gains a bit more flavor toward the end. Might be an OK backyard barbecue beer, but nothing to get excited about.

Not that great. Lots of malt and pretty lame hops. Filling and not worth the effort.

Strong hoppy flavor on tap. Dark, lingering taste. Looks like "Downtown" from across the bar.

On tap. Light/clear amber in color, but hardly tasted like an amber. Light hoppy and apple aroma, and very weak, watery flavors of caramel, citrus, and hops. More like a disappointing summer ale.

Medium golden/brown color. Light hops and citrus on the nose. Medium to light body. Medium caramel and malt flavor gives way to slightly acidic, citrus finish. Consistent bottles and modest price. Dominion does good work. This is dedicated to Kinz, who has taught me so much about beer.

I drink this at Hamburger Hamlet. A bit more bitter than my usual wont (but I lean heavily on sweeter, so take that for what it is worth). The aroma and the color are lovely, and even to my sweet-tooth taste the bitter is well-balanced.
