12oz bottle, bottled 5/4/09. Small but persistent white head atop lightly hazed apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, cereal, some honey, light straw. Taste is moderately sweet, floral/spicy, some orange, light grapefruit, honey, cereal/bread. Light body, some crispness, light acidity. Given that this is a post-takeover brew, I was quite surprised to find that I like it.

On tap at Capones. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of grains with some grassiness. Tastes of the same graininess, grassy, and verly light caramel. I found the body to be on the weaker and somewhat watery side. Some lacing left on the glass.

Bottle pours perfectly clear yellow with a white head. Sweet grain, corn, mild hay, lemon, other citrus, the hops are mostly transparent in the nose, but the snappy bitterness is there, almost coming off as a sweet/sugar/mint character, but certainly sharp and bitter but with little hop flavor. Not bad, a little wet/oily, could use some more dryness, but it’s fresh and it’s tasty.

Tap at the Dulles location. Pours extremely hazy darkish gold with a creamy white head. Aromas of grass and citrus. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is thick pale malt with quite a bit of grassy hop. Citrus licks around the edges. Finishes quite dry and nicely bitter. Seems to be balanced. Pilsner Urquell it’s not(being unfiltered), but it’s a great drink. Especially in an airport.

Draught at Capone’s: Faint aroma of malts and lemon with a hint of hops. Poured gold/yellow in color with a medium-sized, dense, creamy, white head. Clear. Not sparkling. Very good to excellent lacing. Slightly sweet, slightly bitter flavor. Tastes of wheat, malts, slight bitter hops, slight lemon, and slight grass. Light to medium body. Lightly chalky, thin texture. Average carbonation. Slight lemon, slight hop, wheat finish.

On tap at the brewpub. Crystal clear golden body with a large frothy off-white head. Huge grassy and earthy hop aroma - very fresh. Big grassy hop flavor, light maltiness. Firm bitter finish. Medium light body with moderately high carbonation.
