| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 26, 2009 12oz bottle, bottled 5/4/09. Small but persistent white head atop lightly hazed apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, cereal, some honey, light straw. Taste is moderately sweet, floral/spicy, some orange, light grapefruit, honey, cereal/bread. Light body, some crispness, light acidity. Given that this is a post-takeover brew, I was quite surprised to find that I like it. hopdog (5576), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 28, 2009 On tap at Capones. Poured a medium yellow color with a small sized white head. Aromas of grains with some grassiness. Tastes of the same graininess, grassy, and verly light caramel. I found the body to be on the weaker and somewhat watery side. Some lacing left on the glass. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2008 Bottle pours perfectly clear yellow with a white head. Sweet grain, corn, mild hay, lemon, other citrus, the hops are mostly transparent in the nose, but the snappy bitterness is there, almost coming off as a sweet/sugar/mint character, but certainly sharp and bitter but with little hop flavor. Not bad, a little wet/oily, could use some more dryness, but it’s fresh and it’s tasty. bhensonb (4274), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Tap at the Dulles location. Pours extremely hazy darkish gold with a creamy white head. Aromas of grass and citrus. Near medium body with foamy carbonation. Flavor is thick pale malt with quite a bit of grassy hop. Citrus licks around the edges. Finishes quite dry and nicely bitter. Seems to be balanced. Pilsner Urquell it’s not(being unfiltered), but it’s a great drink. Especially in an airport. michael-pollack (2681), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
