| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2004 Chestnut brown colour, with a reddish tinge. Some subtle roasty notes in the aroma, but not much else. Some caramel, chocolate and coffee in the flavour but, again, not very pronounced. Quite dry. Like many of the Dominion beers I tried, this is decent stuff, but fails to really excite. I had this in November 2004, so I’m not sure that it could have been discontinued early in the year. On tap at the Dominion brewery.

Tastes roasty, slightly sweet, with some chocolate, hops, and citrus at the finish. Decent mouthfeel. I’m not a huge fan of mixed B&Ts. I prefer the segregated ones, just like I prefer my public schools (just kidding Jesse). IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 12, 2004 On tap at Dulles. Pours a darker brown color, creamy tan head. Aroma was lightly roasty, and a bit sweet. Chocolaty. Flavor also has the sweeter roasty prescence, finishes with a little hop bitterness. Medium bodied, fairly smooth. Not bad. | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 2, 2004 On tap at the brewery: Definitely the poorest of the Dominion beers I rated at the brewery. Medium dark amber brown. Faint sourdough and sweeter roasted malt aroma. Thin generic cola like body. Flavours are non-descript bitter hops and light malt. Dryish stale hoppy bitter finish. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

Good chocolate brown with some ambers in there. Nice beige head. Smells lightly hoppy, with some very sweet malt. Opens up smooth and and almost velvety but for a bit much of carbonation. That dies off as it warms and leaves a pleasant hops flavor that is buried beneath chocolate malt and light hazlenut flavors. Fairly chewy malt profile, good crisp finish. I was impressed. Flavors complemented each other well, though in all it did get a bit sweet on the end. Kinz (2215), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 2, 2004 Beer 2 of Belgium trip, consumed at Dulles Airport, draft. Deep amber, almost muddy, little head. Very lightly colored for the style. Aroma extremely faint of hops. Spicy, earthy hop profile in taste, somewhat muddled malts. It didn't quite hang together somehow, although nothing was really wrong. haddon90 (1039), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 1, 2004 Clear red/copper pour. Hoppy nose with some caramel and malt in the aroma. Roasted malt and chocolate in the taste. More like a light porter. Pretty decent, but nothing overly great.
