Commercial Description:
The combination of a flavorful, creamy stout (black) and an aromatic ale (tan) makes a delicious drink. Old Dominion Black and Tan has good body and a pleasant finish. We mix our Dominion Ale with Dominion Stout (two parts ale to one part stout) to create an authentic Black and Tan.

Retired when the Dominion Stout was discontinued in early 2004.

I found this to be an enjoyable offering. It was however hard on my stomach.

comes of a bland amber. hazy brown color , not much head, light aroma of bread and malt. the ale flavors dominate initially but it finishes on a sweet malty note that indicates the stout presence. nothing exceptional here- as with most premixed black and tans

Looks like a mixed black & tan...no surprise there...smells like a straight ale. A very bland beer with no great aftertaste!

Not a true B&T, 2 parts of their ale and 1 part stout. Light amber-brown colour. The phenolic and fruity flavours of the ale come through, with just a hint of roasted malt from the stout. Amooth palate. Slightly butter, mild overall, not bad. A unique take on the black and tan.

I want to know what the sout tastes like. Deep roastiness on top of a well built ale, lightly creamy feel. potential but lacking.

Very black. Sweet coffeeish palate. Could use more body, a bit watery.

Not too bad but not excellent. Ok with food & probably a great party brew!

Dulles Airport on tap: Sweet, rootbeer-esque nose. Effervescent and somewhat thin body. Quite a bit of carbonation. Sweetish malt, somewhat watery. Some roasted flavors bubble up here and there. Moderately hopped, but doesn’t seem very balanced. Quaffable, but not overly exciting.
