The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, and oatmeal, leading to a dry roasted end. argo0 (7025), Washington DC, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 13, 2002 Good head atop deep red brown body. Slight sweetness and mild roastiness, but this beer loses the strengths of the two beers that combine to make it. Pretty disappointing. hopscotch (5549), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 19, 2003 Crystal clear ruby brew. Medium-sized, khaki-colored, frothy head. Weeping lacework.
The aroma is of chocolate, coffee, vanilla and caramel.
Well-balanced with dark chocolate, caramel and coffee flavors dominating. Bitter and tangy hops. Medium-bodied with a fizzy mouthfeel. Short, crisp, clean finish. A tad thin, but very drinkable. CaptainCougar (5538), Rockville, Maryland, USA

Aroma has a nice light toasty caramel sweetness with a touch of piny hoppiness. Body starts with a pleasant earthy sweet caramel maltiness, nicely-balanced with an earthy, mildly bitter hoppiness and toasty cookie dough flavor. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA

Brown/black, light head and lacing. Nose of light hop, plenty of roast and sweet malt. Not too exciting. Light vanilla and grass maybe. The finish is moderate. chriso (4852), London, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2004 Chestnut brown colour, with a reddish tinge. Some subtle roasty notes in the aroma, but not much else. Some caramel, chocolate and coffee in the flavour but, again, not very pronounced. Quite dry. Like many of the Dominion beers I tried, this is decent stuff, but fails to really excite. I had this in November 2004, so Im not sure that it could have been discontinued early in the year. On tap at the Dominion brewery.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 15, 2004 Pours dark brown, with good tan head. Aroma of malt, slight chocolate, hops, and fruit. Tastes roasty, slightly sweet, with some chocolate, hops, and citrus at the finish. Decent mouthfeel. Im not a huge fan of mixed B&Ts. I prefer the segregated ones, just like I prefer my public schools (just kidding Jesse). joss (3692), Garching b. München, Germany
