Draft at the Green Leafe Cafe on 2-25-06. Came out a copper red with a small tan head. Nose is malty and crisp with lots of caramel, light flowery notes, hints of buttered bread, light grassiness and light spice. Taste was nicely malted and sweet with lots of caramel, buttery notes, some grassiness, light earth notes and dried fruits. Body is creamy and smooth with moderate carbonation. Finishes with more sweet malts, caramel, flowers and spicy fruitiness. Pretty good! Complimented my meal and dessert very well!

On draft at the brewpub, 9/1/05: Orange-red. Lightly toasty finish, with almost an orange bite. Bit sweet than anticipated. Reattempted in February 07 -- big cookie dough aroma wafting from this clear light red beer. Very doughy, caramel candied, malty.

[GABF, Denver Co - 2006] Ruby caramel in color, light head. Fruity malty nose with malt and light hops, the flavor is sweet and bitter and very balanced. This was a very nice beer.

Clear, dark copper brown. The aroma is fairly nutty, a bit of caramel. Low fruit. A little cake like. A bit of bitterness in the finish. Fairly drinkable, better than the double red, actually.

Draught at Old Dominion Brewpub 3/1/2006: Coppery red body, mostly clear with a slight chill haze, and a small, creamy light tan head. Aroma is malty, showing caramel, bread, a bit of dough along with some grass/flowery mild hops. Taste is medium sweet, showcasing the caramel and earthy malt notes, a bit of light fruits, and a hint of hops in the very background. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation, finishes dry and clean.
