Commercial Description:
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

Dulles. I thought I rated this the other day but I guess I forgot. Really good lager, very tasty, low bitterness so V liked it. Win.

Bottle (12oz) shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o garthicus. Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing white head. Aroma’s grainy and a bit bready along with caramel malt. Slightly watery flavour, some hops in there, grain, caramel malt and a bit vegetal. Average bodied. Not bad, it’s O.K.

Tap at the Dulles location. Pours clear copper with a large off-white head. It generated Belgian lacing. Aroma of caramel. Medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is lightly roasted caramel with veggy/grassy hop. Perhaps a tad sweet, but not very. There’s certainly enough hop to keep a balance. Finishes towards dry, and bitter persists into the finish. Goes a bit creamy over time. Take this over any macro or yellow pale lager.

Overall Impression: These guys make a pretty decent lager. Relatively standard, but well done brew, with the malty caramel flavors you might expect from this style.

Bottle. Poured cloudy darkish gold. Nose of caramel, bready malt, light yeast. Taste is similar, with a nice and refreshing malt & grain flavor. Mouth is medium bodied and pretty well carbonated. Overall, a nice lager.
