Commercial Description:
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

A light yellow beer that was flat and bland. A very boring beer. Blacksburg, VA in a bottle.

I am not a big fan of this brewer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a bright golden color with a small white head. The aroma is sour tangy malts. The flavor is sour and tangy with a hint of pepper.

Roasted maltiness combined with a sweet backbeat of bread dough makes this one pretty drinkable, but really far from what i think of as a dortmunder. it does have some interesting combination of hops to liven things up...some herbal in quality, some bittering, even a touch of floral notes. Pretty decent and eminently drinkable.

12 oz. Bottle. It pours a crystal clear straw color with a fizzy white head and watery lacing. It has a sweet malt nose with earthy notes. Sweet malt flavor backed up with a subtle, but firm bitter hop bite. Note something I would drink all the time but it is a nicely made beer.

Bottle: Pale yellow orange with a thin white head, bready aroma with some light grass, lightly bitter, grainy aftertaste. A nice lager.

12 oz. bottle. Golden color with medium head. The aroma might have a bit of corn with the malt, not much hop aroma detectible. The flavor is pretty clean and some hops are present and overall a decent lager.

Bottle. Beer of the month. Pours super clear yellow (like a lager should). Small white head with big bubbles. Went completely away quickly, no foam, no lacing. Very little aroma. Tastes good and refreshing, sort of like a good european lager, but without as much character and flavor. Way better than a domestic bmc fizzy beer though. Light mouthfeel, good for the style. A decent lager, nothing special, but no real complaints. I have trouble picking up specific flavors, etc. in lagers right now.
