Commercial Description:
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

This gets high marks for being a surprise beer. I didn't expect such a deep, golden appearance or such good lacing. I didn't expect the scent. I didn't expect such a full mouthfeel. I didn't expect an adjunct-less lager with a good hop flavor and a sweet, sweet finish. Very drinkable and highly recommended for its taste:price ratio. very cheap, great price, equals an everyday drinking beer. Good stuff

Excellent lager, one of the best I’ve had. Pours clear gold with a thick white head. Grassy, hoppy malty aroma with a hint of sourness. Taste is moderately sweet and tart with plenty of malt, pilsner/euro hops, grain, citrus/lemon qualities and some pleasant diacetyl/butter. Mouthfeel is very full, round and smooth on the palate with moderatle carbonation. Great head retention. Clean, robust and satisfying. An awesome beer from a pretty-much neglected style in the US.

Pours a golden color with a small white head. Malty, beerish, very slightly hoppy aroma. Very bready with some hop bitterness. I am trying to like lagers, but they just don't blow me away like ales do. This does go down smooth. Thanks hopscotch.

Pollen leaves me making up the aroma. Feel pretty confident that the mark is being hit using taste as my guide. Crisp hops make me think I'm not guessing this one by any great stretch. If more were willing to put this much care in a lager an opinion or two might change. I might lean to ales as a standard, but as many styles as there are in brews, so do I have moods and right now my moood is in allignment with this. Thanks again Britt.

Appearance: medium golden, decent head. Smells very average. Beerish, and nothing new or special. Taste is decent- not great. Slightly above average- but also a very typical lager flavor. A slightly above average brew. Drinkable as a session beer because it's very ordinary.

Drank this on tap till the sun came up(NYE 2003 into 2004).A nice refreshing lager that many can enjoy.Smells nice and malty w/ some fresh hops. The taste is pretty crisp w/a decent hop tingle/some fresh munich bread in there, some yeastiness.Great economical lager that didn’t get old through some 8 hours of sluggin’.Happy new years. Great economicly in 12 pk bottles(9.99) at Ronnie’s. Give it a good hard pour to kill that fizziness, nice spicy hops,18.99 a case. Heady lager friends. Germany would be pleased, to be stuck with this in America.

Beer 1 of the trip to Belgium, draft in Dulles Airport. Nice gold, barely any head. Lightly hoppy aroma, a little bread. Smooth flavor, lightly hopped, faintly of a buttery biscuit flavor. Satisfying, but not much to it.

Pours a translucent yellow with a medium foamy white head. Nose is hops and some malt. This may be heresy, but it almost has a Belgian-ish sweetness to it. The taste seems rather bland. Hops, some malts and grains. Maybe a slight hint of fruit, also. The finish is almost nonexistent. I can taste almost nothing. I can see this being very refreshing in the summer and very drinkable but it is just very avergae and plain.
