Commercial Description:
Dominion Lager is brewed using four types of malted barley: Two-Row Pale Brewer’s malt, Munich, Carapils, and Caramel. The bittering hops are Perle and Hallertau from the Yakima Valley in Washington State. The aromatic hops are domestic Tettnang, German Hallertau Hersbrucker, and Czech Saaz. This combination of malt and hops, along with a classic lager yeast from Germany, and the long, low-temperature lagering process results in a mild, smooth, flavorful, complex beer that is a delight to drink.

12oz bottle. Golden-yellow in color with a thin white head that does not last long. Wonderful malty-hoppy aroma, maybe the highlight of this beer [that is a good thing]. I really like the combination of hops here. Goes down smooth. Would really like to try this one on draft.

I rated this beer right down the middle. Nothing special about it; very average. And contrary to it’s commercial description, the beer (esp. in the finish) leaned towards the astringent, rather than the smooth.

Poured a light yellow color, okay head and okay lacing. Aroma was sweet. Flavor was malty sweet and grassy hops, not what i expected. Not bad but really not anything just there. Ho Hum.

Orange colored lager with overpowering graininess. Low character hops. It’s very thin with little after taste. It’s a unique concept, but not one I like. Think Miller High Life, but with higher quality ingredients.

This lager pours a cloudy, yellow-orange hue and settles into a hazy, yellow body. Small, white head that fully diminishes. Aroma is of bread malts with sourdough hints providing a strong presence. Intially, it is lightly bitter, and ramps up to a moderately bitter finish with an average duration. Watery texture and lively carbonation do not provide enough finish touch. Reviewed in November, 2006.

Draft at Green Leafe, Williamsburg VA. This is hazy orange with a thin veil of foam. Lightly hoppy, but not much of a bite. Smooth and evenly malty, mostly. This is a well done, light lager, an awesome beer if you’re looking for a good session lager! (#2696, 2/12/2007)

12oz bottle-pours a foamy white had and yellow/gold color. Aroma is medium malt-secondary light hops. Taste is sweet medium/light malt, light hops with flatness, like Corona/Dos Equis. OK carbonation.

Bottle. Sweet barley malt aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet cherry malt flavor with light hops finish. A nice drinkable beer especially for the style.
