| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Clear dark copper colored, with a small tan head. Nose is quite fruity, with oranges and apricots soon giving way to the tannins characteristic of these oaked jobbies. Flavor is predominately oak--funky, tart tannins--over a sweet malt base, with some grassy hops thrown in. Thanks to AxlLives for sending this my way! ehhdayton (1115), USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Pours a deep amberish with an off white head. The aroma has a deep maltiness with a bourbon background. Flavor had caramel and toffee qualities along with a hint of bourbon and dark fruit with hops and oak notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and full bodied. jimbowood (964), Athens, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Bottle courtesy of hopdog. Thanks Steve. VERY mild oak and bourbon flavor- if any. A nice, drinkable brew, but if I buy a barrel-aged beer, I want it to tast of oak and/or whiskey. Needs longer in the barrel fellas.

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Feb 16, 2007 For some reason I had thought I had already rated this. Fabulous beer from start to finish. Amazing vanilla, bourbon, and oak flavors dance delightfully throughout this beer and onto your tongue. Bloody brilliant! Lowe1983 (1029), Fairborn, Ohio, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 18/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Pours an amber color with an off-white head. Aroma is of vanilla, oak, caramel, bourbon, and dark fruits. Flavor is strong of vanilla, bourbon, and oak with undertones of caramel, dark fruits, and a slight hint of citrus hops. A very complex flavor and aroma on this brew. A delicious barley wine. golubj (1290), Sunnyvale, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 6, 2007 Bottle. I remember disliking the standard millenium from Dominion, but this one tasted substantially better. The oak and vanilla undertones balanced out the extreme malt of the barley wine. There was also a fruity taste/smell that I did not notice in the un-oaked version. jmuhops (663), Winchester, Virginia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Feb 4, 2007 Pours copper-red with a small beige head. Oak comes through strongly in the aroma; vanilla bean and bourbon dominate. Underneath is the usual Millennium aroma of hot alcohol, sweet malt, and a touch of flowery hops. The flavor is incredibly laid back when compared with the unoaked Millennium. It begins honey-sweet with a touch of vanilla. The oak takes over from the middle to the finish, which is woody and dry. Enough of the original beer is still there to make it recognizable. Very smooth for the alcohol.
