Commercial Description:
Dominion Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barley Wine style. Often called the "sherry of the beer world", barley wine is best sipped at warmer temperatures, and should be enjoyed in moderation, as it contains twice the alcohol of regular beers.

Bottled Feb 19 2004. Thanks Odeed for sharing. Aroma is honeycomb, alcohol, caramel. Body is a deep amber, no head. Standard issue barleywine stuff here, sweet with honey, caramel, and alcohol. Almost slightly watery.

bottle reads (feb 19 2004) *doing a side by side with a "oaked age release*this "specialty brew poured a copper red with not much head at all.the aroma and flavor were dominated by grapefruit, with a bit of caramel malts.honestly this was a bit one sided for me.its not really bad, just a very average barley wine.

Orange, biscuit, floral, leather/suede, perfume - very hoppy nose with strong supporting malt base. Opaque amber-brown with shy but lasting cover of head that laces slightly. Fair, floral hop flavour with sweet balanced malt body. Very pleasant fair to moderate carbonation. Medium-full body. Bottle enjoyed with MartinT, Olivier and Rastacouere. Thanks, hopscotch!

My first vertical (even though it was only a semi-vertical gone bad, it was still cool). ’98- Pours out super cloudy orange, tiny white head with a yellow ring around the glass, syrup like. Taste is enourmous, malts, caramel, fruits dark and light, tiny bits of chocolate even peaking through, very very mellow. just a great overall brew ’02-nowhere near as cloudy, alot louder around the edges, very sharp not very mellow at all, but the taste is still phenom. have an ’03 and ’04, but will wait a little while on those...oak aged yet to come later tonite!! looking foward to it.

Bottled in ’03 courtesy of Slob. Hazy, murky brown color. Smallish tan head fades to a film. Very minimal lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet, honey is especially apparent to my beak. Very nice interplay of sweet malts and honey and the bitterness of the hops. Medium bodied. Slightly syrupy and coating. Large alcohol finish. Nice to sip on.

[1998 bottle] A hazy dark amber beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is of alcohol and yeast. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol and oranges.

Bottled 1998 version: Unclear orange coloured. Off white dense head. Vanilla and spices in the aroma. Some alcohol present. Flavour is raisiny, has alcohol, some caramel. Is surprisingly smooth. Ends with a nice balanced alcoholburnt on lips and palate. Good one.

Tasted this at the ratebeer may 04 gathering in the spring, and couldn’t find this on the site, but now I have. Thanks goes out to jgb9348 for this one! Aroma is alcohol first and foremost, with malty caramel hints following. Body is a dark amber colour, head is medium sized, off white. Taste is like a port, or a whiskey.....with malts and an alcohol burn that is slight and enjoyable.
