Commercial Description:
Dominion Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barley Wine style. Often called the "sherry of the beer world", barley wine is best sipped at warmer temperatures, and should be enjoyed in moderation, as it contains twice the alcohol of regular beers.

Poured a mostly clear amber/orange color with minimal off-white head. Aroma is thick and sweet. Caramel, fruity, pine, and alcohol fumes. Flavor matches aroma very closely with the addition of hop bitterness from middle to the dry finish. Full bodied.

Sampled at Badgerben’s Cellar Reduction Night. Uff Dah! Is this beer potent! Pours a clear light amber brew with a thin off-white head that slowly dissolves to a fine film and ring. Aroma of strong alcohol, caramel malt, some children’s cough medicine, citrus hops and a touch of pecan. Taste is medium to full bodied, lightly carbonated, smooth, creamy with a tart fruit and caramel flavor. Finish is strong alcohol, some acidic texture with a dry fruity aftertaste.

Bottled 4/6/07. Poured near-clear deeper orange with a short-lived cap of beige head. The aroma picked up sherry and fruity sweetness first with a layer of caramel close behind.. the final impression was a building, greener alcohol. The flavor had deeper honeyed and dark fruity sweetness at the core with fresh alcohol-laced grassy bitterness surrounding.. sticky, warm finish with a solid amount of dry bitterness. Thicker-bodied and syrupy at times on the palate with OK balance.. prickly alcohol and bitterness stood out at times, so it didn’t flow perfectly.. lower carbonation worked well here. This was a good beer.. but just wasn’t cohesive enough to be great.

pleasant aroma, alcohol was hidden from being prominent, but warmed and then jackhammered me at the end. Very nice mouthfeel, a good representation of the style. Bottle brewed February 19, 2004 and was mellowed. A very nice barleywine courtesy I think of Dr. Jay.

Amber with respectable head considering hefty alcohol content. Malt base with some hoppy bitterness. Alcohol with time takes over producing warming feel.

Bit of rubbing alcohol is overly distracting in the aroma. Nice hoppy flavour with just enought malt in the background. Warming feeling in the throat belies the strength of this brew in a pleasant manner. A nice barleywine. Thanks Jeremy USA ;)

Orange gold color. Medium head. Aroma is orange, fruity and sweet. A full bodied Barley wine. Malts are fruity and sweet. Touches of caramel and raisins. Hops are grapefruity and spicy. A nice complex barley wine. Nicely balanced. Touch of alcohol warming. Very smooth tasting. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

This bottled brew bottled on 04/03/06 from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of finely sized tan colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy typically carbonated orange brown colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was barley wine like and malt hop. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish. The flavor contained notes of hops and brown malt. A decent one but not one that I would consider buying again.
