Commercial Description:
Dominion Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barley Wine style. Often called the "sherry of the beer world", barley wine is best sipped at warmer temperatures, and should be enjoyed in moderation, as it contains twice the alcohol of regular beers.

Above average American barleywine. Reddish brown in color. Strong alcohol taste with slight spice but can be occasionally soapy. That’s the only drawback me or my friends can find. They prefer Monster while I prefer this.

2/06 vintage 12 oz bottle via trade with The Eepiest, Side by Side with Oak Aged Millenium. Pours orange with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and caramel and bigger and bolder than the oak aged version. The taste is sweet, a bit spicy with a bit of hop character and some warming in the throat. There are definite differences but they are hard to peg down. The regular version is more defined and crisp with flavor that can be deteceted independently. The Oak aged version is more of a muddle, it isn’t bad but it blends more, all the tastes build upon one another. There is more character in the OA version though, close call my friends close call.

What a barleywine should be. Thick. Aroma is primarily fruit and some sugar. Very sweet flavor, this is a lot like Full Sail.

Vintage 2004. Clear reddish amber with a small dissapearing head. Full caramel aroma with notes of honey, brown sugar, earth and alcohol. Very full flavour of caramel, toffee, vanilla and honey with nice bitter woody tone. Bitter finish of wood and alcohol with a vanilla sweetness underneath. Pleasant.

Bottle. Amber beer with a light tan head. Rich malt, honey, and nut aroma with toffee and dried fruit. Rich malt flavor with honey and light dried fruit and a bit of summer fruit. Alcohol noticeable. Medium-plus bodied. Malt and light nutty malts linger with light toffee, light fruitiness, and light honey. Nice sipping beer.

Bottle courtesy of moejuck, thanks! Pours a hazy amber color with a thin white head. Very good aroma of caramel, candied fruits and hops. Very good flavor of caramel, candied fruits and hops with a mild bitter finish. The body has a light to medium thickness with a liquorous texture and soft carbonation.

Malt and caramel aroma, copper, tiny cream head. Flavours of the malt and hops mesh together creating a lovely warm treacle toffee. Sweet, warming, full bodied and well balanced. Terrific! Thanks jgb9348!

It says bottled in 1998. Pours a cloudy brown with a small silky off-white head. Very malty aroma with a ton of spice, caramel, gingerbread, and a roasty thing going on toward the end. Taste is very thick and strong, maple syrup, mollasses, chocolate, some woody tastes, very complex and tasty. Very smooth mouthfeel with a nice slight bitterness to balance out the taste at the end. Amazing brew that seems to have aged very well.
