Commercial Description:
Dominion Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barley Wine style. Often called the "sherry of the beer world", barley wine is best sipped at warmer temperatures, and should be enjoyed in moderation, as it contains twice the alcohol of regular beers.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear light orange amber with a small light beige head. Aroma of faint candied sugar, fruit, caramel and toasted malt. Taste of candied sugar, papaya, light orange peel, caramel, toasted malt and a touch of alcohol. Better as it warms.

Pours out a light amber color with a small head. Flavor is very nice. Not to malty and not to hoppy. It is very well balanced. Aroma is nice and fruity. Very pleasant.

From secret Santa. The nose of this malty mother hits immediately. A hazy burnt orange body had a tan had. Nose was thick, with sweet malts. Wow, this had a lot of wood characteristics, earthy, sweet, and roasted. Very syrupy, but dry to the finish, and the % gives a wicked warming.

Deep hazy orange in color. Light head and sticky lace. Sweet and strong nose of rich mollasis, carmel and fant citrus notes. Mouthfilling sweetness, then slightly portish, sherryness with slight alcohol tingles . Lingering finish that is cleaned up well.

12oz bottle shared at Columbus tasting 2.0 by moejuck! - Thanks! - Pours amber with a short offwhite head and light lacing. Aromas of big grapefruit and pine hops and faint caramel tucked behind that. Flavor is lots of hops up front with grapefruit and pine blending to orange and to caramel. Good malt backbone.. Sticky palate with good balance and the alcohol is covered well. I liked this one a lot!

The aroma was malty with a strong caramel, strong fruit and strong hop presence. The hops were earthy and a bit citrusy and contained grapefruit and a smidge of orange. Alcohol was a prevalent characteristic of the aroma and almost set the nasal passaged on fire. The beer poured into the glass hazy golden amber with a white, low head which tried best it could to lace the glass. The flavor was malty with a strong fruity and citrusy hop component. The bittering was strong and the citrus was muted and earthy. The malt was well achieved and balanced the bittering very, very well. The predominate malt characteristics were caramel and a toasty and lightly biscuity flavor. The finish was heading toward dry with a strong malt and bittering holding court well into the aftertaste and beyond. The body was full, slick and viscous with an excellent level of carbonation to bring forth the fruity nature of the beast and the alcohol. The warming after consumption was very strong and let you know that this beer is a force to be reckoned with. A very nice barleywine! 12 ounce bottle. Bottled on Feb 19 2004.

Badgerben’s Cellar Reduction night. Amber color with a sweet malty and hop nose. Caramel malt and citrus rise above the alcohol in the body. Almost cloying.

Sampled at RBSG ’08 Grand Tasting at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Another backlogged rating. Poured from bottle. Light amber color with a mild plum flavor with a bit of spice and cherry. Sweet vanilla and dark fruit flavors. Earthy maple and toffee notes shine underneath. Nice body. Really tasty stuff.
