Commercial Description:
Dominion Millennium is a very strong ale brewed in the English Barley Wine style. Often called the "sherry of the beer world", barley wine is best sipped at warmer temperatures, and should be enjoyed in moderation, as it contains twice the alcohol of regular beers.

Sampled at RBSG ’08 Grand Tasting at Pizza Port Carlsbad. Another backlogged rating. Poured from bottle. Light amber color with a mild plum flavor with a bit of spice and cherry. Sweet vanilla and dark fruit flavors. Earthy maple and toffee notes shine underneath. Nice body. Really tasty stuff.

’05 Bottle courtesy of Carl4beer. Pours a flat ruddy brown with no carbonation or head. The nose is full of dried fruits, caramel, brown sugar and malt. The flavor is not quite as complex or smooth as the nose, but you have to try the Oaked version!

Bottle thanks to footbalm. Pours a deep amber with a tiny head. The aroma is nice; hints of sweet candy and perhaps bourbon. The flavor is really great; some fruit, sweet candies, malts, overall really smooth and nice. A really good beer.

I hope this is the right beer... Different label and alcohol percentage... Any way... Bottle (2008) Poured into a snifter, glowing red, nice head that faded quickly. Sweet malt with a touch of honey aroma... Taste is a nice smooth, malty beer. Light fruit characteristics..A little citurs and cinamon.. Even though its has light body its far from weak or watery. I like it alot..

2005 cask on tap at Capital Ale House Virginia Beer Festival. Aromas of carmelized malts with rum soaked fruits and alchohol. Mostly clear golden with minimal white head. Raisins plums and earthy aged hop flavors over sweet carmelized malts with some woodyness. Full body with sweet finish of spicey hop bitterness and alchohol warming. Excellent.

Dark red. Citrusy, hoppy nose. Alcohol evident, but no where near 11.4%. Well balanced and an interesting hop presence. Overall a good beer that is drinkable.

Reddish brown. Somewhat sweetish, but, thick, powerful and well hopped. A good barley wine.

Amber orange hued. Sweet malty hop/good barleywine aroma. Robust thick body has decent balance and hides its alcohol well. A decent barelywine.
