| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 4, 2003 Amber orange hued. Sweet malty hop/good barleywine aroma. Robust thick body has decent balance and hides its alcohol well. A decent barelywine. michael-pollack (2749), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2002 A really good, strong barley wine. A bit heavy, but that is to be expected. Malt is dominant with a receeeding but distinct hoppiness. Not the biggest big beer out there, but a contender. baobubba (451), Corvallis, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 20, 2003 Cloudy red-brown with a thin-sparse white head. Sweet light toast, caramel, dark fruit, bready aroma accented by ice tea, vanilla, and earthiness. Sweet, smooth, ice-tea like finish. Getting a bit of aspartame on the finish. Good brew. notalush (2692), Denver, Colorado, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 3, 2003 This is a very hoppy barleywine, much like SN Bigfoot, or 3F Behemoth, but this lacks the fullness and complexity of those big ones. Don't get me wrong, this is good, but there are so many great barleywines out there, that I wouldn't call this one one to really seek out - slight white lacing, clear copper color - malty aroma with a bit of honey - honey initially in the flavor, then the hops come in - heavy maltiness comes back toward the end, with some fruits (cherries mostly) - the malt/hop balance is pulled off well in this one, much like the beers mentioned above, but this is still one notch under those greats. badgerben (3610), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
