| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Bottle: Tawny orange, medium frothy off-white head, so-so lacing, very light carbonation.   Soft pale malt aroma, slight grain, seems semi-sweet.   Grainy malt flavor up front, fairly light, almost watery.   Sweeter than suggested by the nose.   It is however fairly clean.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Better than many other Oktoberfests I have had recently.

Rerate: Not a fan of the ’06 production, diacetyl spoils what would otherwise be a nice beer. Had several, same taste. mctous (119), Herndon, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 26, 2005 Having compared several American Octoberfest beers, Dominion’s version easily tops my list. The unexceptional aroma and appearance give way to very characteristic malt flavor with perhaps more hops than the German originals, but so what? Dominion’s hop extraction maintains their usual high standard, and blends very well with the malt flavors. The long aging shows through the very firm finish, and the extra alcohol barely registers on the palate. mephisto (1144), Taiwan

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 17, 2005 Very light head, nice amber color. The aroma is malty, a bit sharp, and very fall like. Flavor is, again, malty. It’s also a bit sweet and dried leaves kept coming to mind. Medium body. Pretty average overall, not offensive but not that good either.
