Commercial Description:
Octoberfest's decidedly malty flavor comes from a generous portion of Vienna Malts. The maltiness is balanced by German and Czech Republic noble hops for dryness. The balance between the malt and the hops and the long, cold (30 degrees F) maturation process make this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Pour clear orange amber with small white head. malty notes. not a bad hoppy crisp balance considering the style. Not a big fan of lagers, so probably not a fair rating...

12 oz bottle dated 090606. Nice clear amber pour with almost no head. Sweet, bready malt nose, some caramel. Flavor is firmly on the sweet side, malty, bready, a mild herbal grassy note. Mildly herbal bitter finish, a tad sticky.

Aroma of soapy german beer, but the taste was much better. Taste comparable to other good octoberfest beers, with caramel malt and dry finish.

Poured an orange-amber; white head. Aroma of caramel malt, some earthiness to it. Taste of caramel malt and biscuit; sweet; balanced by a small hop presence. Pretty good for style.

Pours a clear dark amber with a tall white head. Aroma is caramel and honey. Flavor much of the same, with some plum sweetness. Not a fan of the style but was pleasantly surprised by this beer. Good stuff.

Rich, deep amber red in appearance with lasting head. stong malty aroma that carries into flavor. Just enough hops to balance. A nice example of the style

Single 12 oz. bottle from Wine Vault, Columbus, OH. Red-amber pour with a mostly fizzy head; head dissipates into a medium-sized, white ring. Aroma is sharply sweet with malts; notes of raspberries and prunes. Flavor is rich and malty; rotting vegetable, fruit, a little caramel, and a touch of butterscotch; I don’t know if this is "proper" to the style, but this particular hop seems odd in this beer and would seem more in place in a pilsener, though it may just be that this beer is correct and the other oktoberfests I’ve had were not; dry hop finish without a lot of bitterness. Medium-thick, fizzy body. I didn’t like this at first but it has grown on me a little; still, not my favorite oktoberfest.

Bottle. Very malty and lightly biscuity sweet aroma with a touch of veggie. Fizzy tan head quickly reduces to nothing, body is red-amber with medium-strong carbonation. Medium-thick malty body is rather oily; sharp with some acidity. Eh.

Also needs a ‘k’ in its name instead of a ‘c,’ but that’s just a bit of pickiness.
