Commercial Description:
Octoberfest's decidedly malty flavor comes from a generous portion of Vienna Malts. The maltiness is balanced by German and Czech Republic noble hops for dryness. The balance between the malt and the hops and the long, cold (30 degrees F) maturation process make this an exceptionally drinkable beer.

Had this at the Dominion brewpub yesterday. Nice amber color, thin head. Aroma included caramel and nutmeg. Good taste, malty with some other flavors - bready, a touch of fruitiness -- could be a tad more bold, but this is one of the best Marzens I’ve had in a while.

Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours hazy amber\golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of fruit, toasted malts, and caramel. The flavor is sweet, toasted vienna malts, sweet caramel, and slight traces of fruit. Good body, good brew.

From a 12 oz. twist cap long neck brown bottle with a bottling date on the right side of label, 08.02.06. Poured a hazy golden hued amber with a foamy white head that settled into a thin lacing. Light aromas, bready with only a little toastiness, a hint of fruitines and floral hops with the barest scents of spiciness. Good carbonation and a softly crisp, smooth lightish medium bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant tasting, a light toastiness with hints of roastiness, a bit banana fruity, a soft herbal spiciness, a grain breadiness towards the end and dry spicy and malty finish. Not a great Oktoberfest, but still very drinkability, an easy quaffability.

Bottle. A refreshing brew. I get geared up for Octoberfests every year and I never have anything that really knocks my socks off. That being said, this is one of the more appealing of this variety that I have tried. Malty taste, clean crisp palate. Clear, orange/coppery appearance. Easy to drink. A solid beer.

Pours a clear copper amber with a thin wispy lightly-lacing off-white head. Authentic Vienna malty aroma has lots of toasty caramel and noble hop character. Starts with some sweet bready grainy maltiness and a good balance of noble hops. A well-balanced and authentic oktoberfest.

Brownish-amber color with a little white head. Aroma is quite malty like a good Oktoberfest should be, but there is an underlying hoppiness that comes across as very crisp and clean. Taste is quite similar. Not as malty on the palate as I would have guess from the smell. It came out at bit more as it warmed. Not too heavy, easy to drink. I could use another!

Dark amber body with a light ivory head. Wheaty aroma, pumpkin and spices. Thin taste, very light spice but there’s not really much here in this beer at all.

This was tasted at the Richbrau Beer Festival in august. It was coppery in color with no head. There were nice hps flavors with some malt. A very complex beverage with anice dryness. This is a very drinkable beer for anytime.
