Commercial Description:
This rich, red ale is made in the American Pale Ale style. It has a strong hop character, medium body, dry finish, and floral hop aroma. We use pale Two-Row Brewer’s malt, Caramel 80 and 40 Lovibond malt, and Munich malt. For bittering and aroma Willamette, Cascade, and Tettnang hops are used in the kettle and as dry hopping in the fermenter.

Copper colored, somewhat thin head and a little bit of lace. Sweet, malty aroma, although not very strong. Seems like a nice blend of hops and malts. There’s a quick malt taste with a fairly smooth hoppy finish. Both are easily detected. Finishes a little bitter. The more you taste it the more the bitter mouthfeel comes out. A pretty good Pale Ale.

amber pour ... sour musty aroma .... tastes 10x better than it smells... nice bitter hop pine citrus smart with a smooth middle and a crisp bitter finish .... I had to go back to check the aroma ... some of the original skunk disappeared, but not all of it ... good tasting beer, but I was thrown off by the aroma .... went back for the 3rd time ... now aroma is fine .. classic IPA, citrus and pine resin ... overall nice hop and malt balance .... I’m staying local to the brewery, I have to stop by and and see if they have it on draft

Poured from the bottle into a tall glass. A cloudy, dark amber color with a creamy, off-white head that had good retention and cling. The aroma featured a rich, floral hop scent and caramel malt. Flavor was an interesting balance of sweetness and bitterness, and well comprised. A very good mouthfeel, with a creamy, wet and full body and moderate carbonation. Overall a high quality beer with good character and definition.

Nice lite copper color, Small head. Floral aroma, light but pleasant. Bitter but balanced enough, with a nice hop flavor. A solid PA fo’ sho’.

On draft at Dulles. Poured a dark orange color with a good sized off white head. Aroma of toffee, citrus and nuts. Flavor was much of the same. Nice palate. Good for the style.

Chestnut and grapefruit aroma in excellent proportions. Hazy ochre color with a thick yellow head. Quite dry and nutty, but not strong and not very good either. It leaves a bitter waxy film that ruins it for me. How can something smell so nice and taste so bad? There must be aromatic additives.

Clear, copper hued pour. Weird, slightly pungent aroma. Vinegar, sesame seeds, saltine crackers, cold honey. Hamster cage steam is dominant. Similarly vague dirty hop taste. Crystal, dry honey granola, and mild bitter grapefruit. A swift hint of leafy green tea soaks in briefly before the finish. Crisp and clean at that point. Palate of medium strength; prickly, slippery texture. Foulness is fleeting. Boring and decent.
