Commercial Description:
This rich, red ale is made in the American Pale Ale style. It has a strong hop character, medium body, dry finish, and floral hop aroma. We use pale Two-Row Brewer’s malt, Caramel 80 and 40 Lovibond malt, and Munich malt. For bittering and aroma Willamette, Cascade, and Tettnang hops are used in the kettle and as dry hopping in the fermenter.

The aroma is very hoppy and sweet. The color is amber and it has a fine head. The flavor is sweet malty giving way to a slight bitterness. An OK beer - but no as good as I expected.

At tap at IAD. Amber colour with a slight brown accent. Woody, cascadey aroma with tropical fruit accents. Woody taste with some sweetish malts. Strongly reminiscent of SNPA. Slightly sticky finish.

Draught at Old Dominion Brewhouse, Washington DC
Deep blond color. Light but nice hop aroma. It has some malt flavor, getting better in the final, with a discreet hopping; quite strong bitterness, with fairly good hops. Pleasant.

(draft) Somehow I had neglected this beer all these years, and I really have been missing out. Crystal clear amber body with off-white head. Aroma is medium swet, grapefruit/floral, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet, floral/grapefruit, light caramel -- not especially bitter, but there is some bite. Light-medium body. Delicious, well-balanced beer.

Orange hue with a gentle off-white ring. Fresh and crisp aroma boasts plenty of caramel malt developing a nice toffee and cookies side to pair with the rich hop profile, orangey and earthy, yet bright and vibrant. Surprising salty notes complement the vegetal, algae-like, earthy, herbal and globally natural flavour components. Pleasant oily medium body presents crisp carbonation that match well with the zesty hopppiness. Good stuff! Thanks a lot Hopscotch!
