Terminus (1955), Illinois, USA Apr 24, 2007 bottle-picked up and drank on my trip to DC back in early March. dark yellow on the verge of orange with a small fizzy white head. flral, light grains, bready nose with fragrang lemongrass, grainy malt, and a slash of DMS. definately not fitting for a belgian. I dind’t even think it was a belgian-i thought it was a lager! flavors get tiresome-lots of plastic-like yeast character that is mashed over sour grains. really has no belgian character at all. i thought this was an imperial pils with a touch of different yeast.
AllAboutStout (476), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Aug 16, 2008 Pours a light golden color with a nice inch of white frothy head. Smell is malty with some yeasty, barnlike scents. Taste is much better. Lots of spice coming through in the flavor. This was a nice surprise and change of pace. Decent mouthfeel. Good and clean. Speedle (259), Mid-Atlantic (Tour 2007-2008), Virginia, USA May 1, 2008 1st wiff is a little funky ... after it airs out for a few minutes, aroma is sweet malts and yeast, some spice .... taste is a little too sweet, but smooth .... a little bit of a waxy finish .... its OK and a local brewer, so I wouldn’t ever turn it down when it comes back around garrison (429), Cin. city, Ohio, USA Jan 2, 2008 From a twelve ounce bottle purchased for me by my girlfriend Nancy for Christmas - This brew pours a hazey golden fluid with a very fast-fading white head and a honey-like aroma. Tastewise, there’s a lot of malt body to this beer, but it is pretty one-note and simple. Still, I like it! goldtwins (3734), Nesconset, New York, USA Nov 2, 2007 Poured a clear pale yellow color with a large white head. Heavy spice in the aroma. The flavor had a strong spice but balanced. Gives some warmth. maniac (1976), Richmond, Virginia, USA Oct 17, 2007 Bottle. Slightly hazy amber boy with lots of carbonation. Large rocky off-white head. Sweet highly spiced fruity aroma. Highly spiced flavor which hides any other flavors.
