Did not have a very remarkable taste. Was a bit malty and had a short afterlife.

Draft at Kerstbierfestival 2007. An unclear orange-amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with spicy notes of cinnamon. The flavor is sweet with a light underlying acidity and notes of malt and a light touch of cinnamon.

Draught @ Domus Cafe, Leuven. Clear dark amber to brown color with a decent creamy beige head. Aroma is mild and earthy. Flavor is a little bit malty sweet with a hint of roasty/smoky. Medium bodied with no lingering complexity. A nice drinkable ale, but not as complex as some other Belgian winter brews.

(Draught@Kerstbierfestival 2007, Essen) Dark ruby with a smallish, creamy head. Yeasty, syrupy, roasted-malty aroma with a typical brewpub-oud-bruin feel. Syrupy-malty, lightly roasty flavor with low bitterness. Almost medium-bodied, low-carbonated palate. A stronger oud bruin, but not exactly a gourmet beer.

From tap, Kerstbierfestival 2007 in Essen/Belgium as Engel (nen). Pours hazy orange with a dense light yellow head. Mild caramel malt base with a mild brett note on top. Flavour is sweet malty with a mild lingering brett note. Very nice spice malt base. Quite nicely balanced. Ends with a nice bitterness lingering into the malt flavours.
