Bottle. Golden orange colour with a slim, but steady white head. Aroma has honey and some malt. Honey in the taste as well, with malts and a nice hoppy bitter finish. Nice medium mouthfeel. I like it.

Bottle. Golden colour with a big, frothy off-white head with good retention and lacing. Medium malty aroma with a hint of lemon. Sweet taste and medium bitter finish. 21.1.08 Cask at ’Spoons, Milton Keynes. Dark gold with a small white head. faint sweet aroma. Nothing much from the taste at first, but a pleasing grainy, biscuity flavour crept in, with a medium bitter finish. Quite good. Rated: 4,4,6,4,14:3.2

Cask Conditioned at Banbury Beer Festival Fri 21-04-06. A really corking beer, Pale Golden, Hoppy and with some fruitiness suprised by the strength, very moreish. Yet another excellent beer at this festival. Bottle picked up at Wareham off licence, Wareham, Dorset, 30-08-08 and consumed at home 31-08-08. Pours warm gold, good rangy tang to this beer good bitterness, finishes a little sweet, I would give this 3.4, so the score slips slightly.

Lagery gold pour with a disappearing fine white head. Aroma buttery, almost toffeish malt mingled with citrussy hop mustiness. Definitely honey and vanilla now I’ve read the blurb, but nothing overpowering. Tangerine, conifer, faint honey and some floral notes, with an abruptly bitter finish. Juicily hopped ’golden ale’ nudging towards an IPA.
