Bottle, 4.9%. Clear golden colour. Nice white head, very stable. Good malty flavour with a good bitterness which reminds me of North German pils. A little flavour hops also.

Vintage bottle purchased at The Stuffed Sandwich, May 2007
This beer pours with an almost clear, dullish amber color. It is almost perfectly still and has no head at all. Aromas of honey-like, aged malt, sherry, raisins, prunes and a really accentuated dark fruit character make up the nose.

The beer is still quite sweet, despite the age; in fact the oxidation character may have even accentuated the sweetness. This beer has some really interesting aged flavors to it; notes of sherry, port, prunes, raisins, dusty cocoa, and an almost soda like quality (a mix of cream soda along with a hint of cola). This has quite a light mouthfeel, with lots of the heft having dropped out over time. There is a rich, nutty taste here as well. I am really finding the flavors in this clearly aged beer really interesting. I would not have guessed it would have lasted this long; it has morphed into something that is quite flavorful (perhaps even more so than it was initially) without the cardboard-tasting oxidation I would have expected.

Bottle, thanks Pivnizub. Golden, big lacing foam. Crisp subdued hops on light honeyish malt, light wooden endnote. Smooth chewy mouthfeel. Very drinkable and refreshing.

Bottle. Clear golden pour with a thick lacy white head. Herby and bready nose, thick maltiness. Sweetness takes a backseat. Delicate bitterness, grassy with terminal sting. I’d be lying if I said I could distinguish between beers with and without hop extracts, but I’d put money on this one having them. Thanks to MoritzF!

Bottle: Clear, lively carbonation, straw golden coloured, stable fluffy white head; clean malty nose with a touch of vanilla and caramel, faint hoppiness from far behind; mild, smooth, sweetish flavour; short, sweetish grainy finish with some "late" bitterness. A decent, smooth EXPORT.....!

(bottle) Clear yellow colour with a steady foamy white head. Slightly herbal hoppy aroma with breadish malts. Light to medium bodied grainy malty start and a short hoppy finish with a little peppery spice. Only average but drinkable

Pale yellow, foam sticks to the glass. Hoppy nose. Crispy, citric taste. Not what I expected. Slightly hopbitter finish. Hard to say whether this is a Pilsener or a Lager. A bit like Warsteiner.
