Nov 16, 2005 Bottle: Pours clear golden with a fluffy, mid-sized head, which vanishes rather quickly; (pale-) malty nose with a touch of cardboard; mild but crisp sweetish flavour; malty/grainy aftertaste with some bitterness in the background. Nothing great, but a quite well rounded, quaffable Export.

May 11, 2005 (bottle) Clear golden colour with a medium foamy white head. Malty aroma, slight sweet malty flavour with a soft hopbitter finish. Clean and crisp.

May 11, 2005 Malt and butter in aroma and flavor. Medium to full bodied. Hint of metal, especailly showing itself in the aftertaste. One of the better Dortmunder beers IMO.

Jan 17, 2005 Updated: May 25, 2005Bottled. Clear golden colour, quite lasting foamy head with some bubbles on top. Aroma is rather on the hoppy side. Slightly sweet, hoppy taste with a somewhat sharp edge in the slightly bitter finish. Smooth mouthfeel, maybe a bit too smooth as it lacks a bit in carbonation. One of the lesser Dortmund exports, on par with Hansa (2.7). Re-rate: After drinking a case of this stuff, I have to up my rating. All people I shared my case with, liked it pretty much. I think it´s rather on par with Ritter or DAB Export, though Kronen is still better. (3.1)
