Pours a nice looking clear amber with nice off-white head, good retention. Not much aroma, very faint caramel with a very light touch of maple. Flavor of faint caramel malt and hops, balanced. Mouthfeel is light with high carbonation...Over all, it is a tasty easy drinking beer.... Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA

Dont know how it ours or smells because i drank this out of the bottle as it was meant to be. Wet cardboard and light white noise hopping. NOt bad with queso and chips. I would never drink it solo unless desperate. But hey its summer and you do what you can. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA

This beer isn’t as awesome as the Most Interesting Man, otherwise it’d have a beard and be badass. biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA

Who knows. Dos Equis tends to disappoint unless I’m on a beach in Mexico. Word. Butters (1651), Virginia, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 4/20 | Jul 5, 2008 Bottle while on honeymoon in Cancun. When I ordered a Negra Modelo, the waiter brought me this bottle with a paper towel wrapped around it, on which, he had written in crayon "Negra Modelo". So even though it wasn’t what I had expected, I gained another rating. Poured a pale clear amber with good light tan head. Corn and toasted grain. Medium light body with high carbonation. Grainy aftertaste. Not a Negra substitute. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 3, 2008 Sampled on draught at Carlos O’Kelley’s restaurant in Fairfax, VA. Pours a fine, clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has some caramel in it, with dry seltzer water hops, like its brother Dos Equis lager. Works very well with spicy mexican food, beans, chips and the like. Paired with food, this is not a bad choice. But certainly not something a conniseur would drink. Decent beer. azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland
