poured from a tap a light reddish-gold color. The flavor is smooth with very little aftertaste. Refreshing.

12oz bottle. Red-brown with a weak tan head. Has a thin and slightly grassy aroma with some brown sugar. The flavor is light and crisp, with some brown sugar and caramel flavors that definitely put it above the typical mexican lager. The definite go-to of the mexican beer 5 de mayo taste off. It’s not exactly water, but it does the job just the same.

12oz bottle. Pours amber with white head.Malty in both flavor and aroma. Also tasted caramel and some sweetness. While it may be a "better beer" than most of the Mexican beers, but if I was in mexican I would rather have regular Dos Equis or even Tecate before this.

OK, one of my cinco de mayo beers. It’s drinkable, a good maltiness with carmel notes but a bit of cardboard flavor to it and not a great aftertaste. eh.

5/5/08 From the bottle. Aroma starts out quite sour but lightens to a malty lager tone, with bits of pils and noble hop aroma coming through. Appearance is light copper with a chunky moderate maintained white head. Flavor is sweet malty with nice bready roast and lightly bittering noble hops. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a slight touch of carb bite. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised, this was as refreshing as other mexican beers, but without the overly dry finish.

Pours deep amber, small head, pale malt aroma. Full lager flavor, slightly sweet. Clean finish. Maybe a little bit of corn.
