I tried this beer on March 7, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto. The beer poured a solid reddish-brown colour with a thin white head. The aroma was primarily grassy with a little malt. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, but highly carbonated. The flavour was grassy, a little malt, and a little sourness. Definitely better than a Corona or a Tecate.

Bottle. Average fizzy white head that mostly diminished. Spare lacework. Clear sparkling body with a pale amber color. Aroma of light malty notes, hint of grass and cardboard. Light grain and straw over the palate. Light bodied with an average carbonation and light dry and thin texture. Light sweet and bitter flavor in good balance. Light dry and bitter finish.

Dos Equis Amber has a very nice clear amber color with a very small, dirty colored head. The taste is of lime and metal with a slightly bitter aftertaste. This is a very crisp beer.

everyone rates down the Mexican beers, so my rating is going to stand out. Reddish amber, add a lime if you want to accent the body. But, I enjoy it.

on tap poured a brownish golden in color with a thin layer of light colored foam on the surface and active carbination. had in a mexican restaurant and they served with a lime wedge on the glass. aroma has some malted barley, sweetness, and is lighter overall. taste is better than i had anticipated with malted grains, some light bitterness, and caramel sweetness. actually has some flavor to it. broke down and tried the lime and it went pretty well adding to the sweetness. on draft anyway it was pretty good.

Brown with red highlights. Extremely thin body with some sweet malt and then it is gone. Would never stand up to any amount of food.

Know what? Its alright. Its got the look at the feel of "better" examples but doesnt hold up on aroma. It did smell strikingly like most typical pilsner/ale/lagers. The taste is best described as "common" and is nothing of note. Bad beer? nah. Good beer? meh. I like it but I wouldn’t buy it again.

a decent imported beer, reddish golden color, full bodied, i’d rate it better than corona.
