Medium amber with reddish color, virtually no head. Aroma is very bland, a bit metalic and somewhat sweet. Taste follows suit, but is fairly weak, considering its appearance. Generally very forgetable and not too great.

Draft at El Cholo Los Angeles, consumed 02/21/08. Medium amber color with almost no head. Active though modest carbonation throughout. Aromas: sweet grain, some metallic tang. Flavor is sweet light malt with a tiny bit of citrus tang, followed by a lightly bitter finish. Crisp, easy to drink. You could do a lot worse.

From a 355 ml. bottle. I haven’t had this one in a while and I was immediately struck by the ruby-red amber pour. I guess I don’t remember it being as attractive as that. A lot of puffy head but little lacing. A bit of caramel and malts in the aroma as well as the flavor. A tad watered down but not anything like most Mexican beers I;ve had. A little on the bitter side and a dry finish. This is much better than I expected and it deserves a higher rating.

I used to buy this beer a lot--before I went to Luxembourg and got spoiled by Belgium ales. It’s a nice lager with caramel malts and hints of brown sugar. It works well for a hot summer day.

A great beer for drinkin and I prefer the lime in it. Not very heavy or strong but able to drink smoothly. Good on a hot day and I still like it in the winter
